Lilly and Scotty ... Oh My!

After watching the ep, I must say I totally agree with Worldsgreatest's view of the situation. Lilly looked like her world had come crashing down after that comment. I don't know what could've happened 9 yrs ago, but it must be bad, very bad, for her to take it so hard. This is not just Chris sleeping with her fiancé. This is something no one can know.

My guess is, she'll stay away from Scotty for a long time. So long as she thinks he has all this information about her, she'll consider him dangerous. A walking bulletin board waiting to explode. And she won't have anything to do with him.

So Stillman cornered Scotty on his drinking problem. And it looks like Scotty's job may be in jeopardy since Scotty is out of it. Do you really think they may fire him?

Nice job keeping Scotty away from Lil. I wonder if this has anything to do with the character pairing we discussed here over the summer and that's a reason why they've been highlighting other detectives or because we said we liked the other detectives they had to make a reason to pull them apart as a duo.

So what will Scotty do? Shape up or ship out?

Strange Fruit Spoilers!!














Loved the look on Lilly's face when Scotty remembered that he had found out about Matilda. I'm glad Stillman came down on Scotty. It looks like he needs a wake-up call and fast. I think he'll get it together, but it might take him a little while.

Yeah, I was surprised at Scotty's recent bad performance as well. However, I wanted to bring up a point I do not think any one has mentioned yet. I might be totally wrong with this as well, but here goes.

I am trying to keep the timing of this episode in mind. If memory serves, "Strange Fruit" was scheduled to air on Easter Sunday, which would have put it right after Scotty and Christina's episode in the bar in "Schadenfreude". However, this episode was delayed and replaced by Ravaged last Sunday.

I am just wondering if this past Sunday's episode was meant to follow "Schadenfreude." Looking at it, it would seem to follow well with the storyline. It seems to make sense in my mind, because, on "Ravaged", Scotty seemed a bit more focused (talking about Alissa, pulling out a Cold Case file at the end). Maybe he is shaping up already. I don't know, maybe I am just off, just thinking to myself.

Also, what did everyone think of Lilly's bigger ponytail last night? I liked it, but Lilly always looks good to me!

You've got a good point there, Byrdman. I expect you're right. I'm glad, too, cuz that would mean Scotty got his act together... somewhat.

You are correct Byrdman. "Strange Fruit," was originally scheduled to air on Easter Sunday but CBS decided the content was not appropriate for that day so it was replaced by "Ravaged," which was supposed to be the episode to air this past Sunday. So that could well be the reason the Scotty scenes didn't fit well because his scenes in "Ravaged," took place after "Strange Fruit." All should be well with the next episode as they will be back on track and air in order for the rest of the season (as it stands right now).

That crossed my mind as well byrdman. It definitely seems to fit better when you think about the story arc in the context on Schadenfraude, Strange Fruit, then Ravaged. I'm interested to see how things pick up with our next new episode, but unfortunately, we have at least two reruns before that happens.

I just reviewed "Ravaged".. there was one thing that seemed out of place:

When Scotty goes to visit the bar by himself, the bartender pours him a shot (without Scotty acknowledging that he wanted one). I thought it was weird that we never saw Scotty drink it. In the previous ep, we saw him drinking from a flask on the job, so it was weird that he suddenly was starting to shape up. The re-ordering of the episodes would explain that discontinuity.

I totally missed Lilly's pony tail.

I hate to complain about the episode airings but I feel we get cheated during the season with CC taking a back seat to all the special shows on Sunday evenings and even getting pushed back so much due to sports. Having to change the episodes and air them out of order makes it difficult for me to follow continuity. Plus they didn't even get the season opener advertised correctly this season. Maybe this post should go in the OT rants thread.

The good way to look at it though is that while we US fans will be waiting for 4 months over the summer for a new episode, you will still be seeing new episodes for your area.

Shorty, I know that feeling. And I even haven't seen any ep with Lilly's sistern so far But I'm helping myself with getting information in the internet, mainly on boards like this. But you've seen the episodes up to "Blank Generation", did I got that right?

I'm perhaps not really the one to answer your question.

But anyway. Yes there is a lot of tension between Lilly and Scotty It surely has to do with Christina, Lillys sis, and that Scotty is going out with her. I think I too would be at least a bit angry if my sis and a close co-worker of mine would date without telling me about it. But as others I guess there is much more going on. Lilly and Chris seems to have a relationship ful of problems. Lilly is not sure what her sis told Scotty about it and that doesn't make things better. And Scotty don't talk to Lilly about Elisa death. IMO enough reasons that the two have difficulties with each other.

I'm a bit behind too. Here in the UK, 'Wishing' has been aired this week.
I don't blame Lilly for being Pi55ed off with Chris seeing Scotty. Lilly doesn't get on with her and she shows up and starts interfering with her life. I think Lilly totally panicked when Scotty meantioned the '9 years ago' thing and she was just being defensive by saying the first thing that came out. I think someone has shared that opinion before, so I'll just say that I agree with that.
I wish this Chris would just disappear so things can get back to normal between Lilly and Scotty, I don't like them like this, Scotty needs to talk to Lilly!

Did anyone else notice that Lilly and Scotty seemed to be more normal with each other than they have been in the recent past? I felt like they were working together better, and Scotty even took a cute jab at Lilly for going to see James and keeping his letters. I wonder if Lilly has decided to act like nothing happened, but to continue to harbor hurt deep down inside. Maybe she realized that she and Scotty have to work together, so she better keep it professional.

I did notice that TVFan. I also agree that Lilly's still upset about it but for the time being she's moving on. This is a great thing. I really liked the rapport between Lil and Scotty in "Creatures of the Night." I was very tired of all the tension between the two.

Maybe. But I don't really see her as a gloater. It would be kinda petty of her anyway--kicking Scotty while he's down. Considering how sympathetic she is with the victims, don't think she'll have the heart to turn against Scotty... no matter how offended she felt by him.

Then again, there's a whole stretch of Lil-Scotty tension I haven't watched yet (we're just getting Ravaged next week)... so maybe something will change my mind.
