I keep thinking she's going to be really mean. Only because I think it's in her - that part the audience doesn't quite understand yet. But OTOH why shouldn't she show some compassion towards him because she knows what Chris is like and is it possible Lilly will end up protecting him? I mean he just lost Elissa and she should understand that he was taken advantage of. Right?

I mean he just lost Elissa and she should understand that he was taken advantage of. Right? ~Naj But was he? It's true he had just been thru something traumatic but Vera warned him twice and he knows Lilly well enough to realize she wouldn't be thrilled with the idea. He realizes Chris and Lilly are estranged. I don't think I'm going to cut him any slack in this regard.

I don't know. Sometimes people can be really unreasonable when they've been betrayed--and I'm pretty sure that's how she feels at the moment. Nothing can bring out the worst in people quite as gruesomely as betrayal.
Er--sorry about that. I'm taking too long to post and my comments don't make any sense.

I'm not playing favorites to Scotty cause I do feel he's in for a tough time from Lilly.
It's true he lied to Lilly but basically isn't it his business what he does with his private life? And he only lied because he knew it wasn't a favorable idea...
So what's this with Vera telling Scotty not to mess with Chris? That they don't do that. I don't remember Vera's wording. Is there some kind of honor system among detectives that you have to seek permission to be associate with loved ones because I kind of got that impression when Vera originally spoke with Scotty.

Yeah, I found that a little strange. I mean, Vera knows Lilly and Chris are estranged--it's true. But why should he be so emphatic on his "what you can't do is Rush's sister"? Who is he protecting? Lilly or Scotty? And why so much? Also--why should Lilly get so upset about Scotty seeing Chris? I mean, a little mad I could understand, but the way you guys describe it sounds like she had a major breakdown. I don't know--it seems like there's got to be more to it than what TVguide gave away. But I can't put my finger on it.

Who is he protecting? Lilly or Scotty? And why so much? I think Vera was protecting Scotty. Maybe Vera knows something about Chris and Lilly's past relationship that Scotty and we(the viewers) don't. I don't know--it seems like there's got to be more to it than what TVguide gave away. But I can't put my finger on it. Agreed. Hopefully the full backstory between Lilly and Chris will be revealed.
