Any speculation as to how Lilly handles this situation with Scotty?

Hmm..I do not know, really. But knowing Lil, perhaps she does not talk about it. I think that Chris tells Scotty and so Scotty tries talking to Lil...But everytime, he tries talking to her, she answeres some of his questions, but when he reaches a point, she just blocks and walks away for example.....remember Fly away... Cannot wait to find out! Perhaps Lil even tries talking to him...ahhh..I do not know...lol

I'm thinking she's going to being quite cold with him for a bit. Maybe Stillman will re assign Scotty to something else and bring one of the other detectives to work with Lily for a few eps? Hmmm...

I think that she is going to be cold towards him, too. But I do not think that Stillman re assigns him to anything else. Perhaps he tries talking to Lil or even Scotty, or he tells them to talk to each other...hmmm

I don't really know either... lol... Lil's such a mystery. IMO she won't tell Scotty what happened 9 years ago, but I think she should, or he might take Chris' side on this whole mess.

I would be interesting if Scotty got reassigned and Lil had to work with someone else. But I don't think that Scotty dating Lil's sister is enough reason for Stillman to do that (I mean, he might want to, but I suppose there are rules which he has to follow in situations like that).
Also, that would seriously affect the dynamics of the show... Scotty being out of the cases for several episodes... I don't think they'll do that.

I didn't mean that we wouldn't see Scotty. But I guess all the detective jobs are specialized. I thought initially maybe they'd swap who partners with Lilly. Remember how the season started? They did have Scotty partnering with Vera and have been moving him around more besides just partnering with Lilly. Maybe there was a reason why they did that early on.

I understand what you mean, Naj. Even when things are fine sometimes they all swap partners. That's possible. Maybe Stillman will put Scotty with Vera or Jeffries for a while to keep Lil and Scotty apart, until they work things out.

I think Lilly will continue to give Scotty the cold shoulder until the opportunity arises for them to speak. I think she's going to confront him as soon as she gets a chance. She's angry, and I think she feels betrayed. Scotty lied to her face about his involvement with Chris. I think Lilly assumed Scotty would have told her the truth, so she put the whole thing out of her mind until her sister told her. As angry as she is, I really think that deep down Lilly is just hurt. She was lied to, and her trust was betrayed. Scotty went behind her back knowing that Lilly would not be happy if/when she found out.

I feel bad for Lilly. I hope she does confront Scotty soon b/c the cold shoulder act will get old and immature very quickly if she doesn't.

Ok, I haven't watched this ep yet so some of the things I say may sound off. It sounds like Lilly is being a real b@$%@h to Scotty, not that he doesn't deserve some of it. On the one hand I hate seeing her less than perfect. On the other hand--(someone said this on another thread)--everyone has character flaws. And I like seeing them brought out on TV characters. Makes them more real. Kind of like the not being able to keep relationships. We're none of us perfect--and to be sure we've all done the "cold shoulder" act sometime.

Well, Lil may surprise us--but given what's been shown of her personality so far, I think she'll avoid the problem instead of facing it. But I wish she would confront Scotty.

Perhaps she does not confront him directly...remember when Lil saw Kite with that new ADA, Julie...yeah, Julie...Sorry have watched that scene a thousand times...so she does not say: Hey, why are you going out with that ADA? But she just playes it down, like: Hey, nice to see you having fun...keep on...
so she perhaps reacts a similiar way now...Ahh..I do not know, but I just have the feeling that she does not confront him and if she does then not directly...

Here's the thing... I've been watching JB shows for about 5 years and 1 thing I've learned from those 5 years is that he has a major tendancy to start storylines and all of a sudden drop them.

Take for example Grissom's hearing loss on CSI. It was the major focal point in (I believe) season 4 and the season ended with him going in for surgery and then season 5 camoe around and there was NO mention of anything, not his hearing loss, not his surgery.

There are more examples I'm just too lazy to type them out... anyway, my point is that this storyline will go one of 3 ways.

1.) It will be resolved within the next few episodes and the viewer will be very satisfied.
2.) It wont be resolved until the last 2 episodes of the season and by then we'll all have forgotten about it.
3.) I will never get resolved.

I'm hoping it's #1, but I refuse to get my hopes up.
Personally, I hope she yells at Scotty because I sure as hell wouldn't be able to trust someone who lied to me for so long.

jannasam - I think you're right. For me it seemed that Lilly on confronted Kite on Late Returns because they occasionally met on the parking lot, otherwise she wouldn't have done anything. I think she might do the same thing with Scotty.

BTW: we're talking about Lil's reactions, but how do you guys think Scotty is going to react to this mess? Will he take Chris into his house, will he try to find out the sister's secret... ?

I think he will definitely try to find out the sister's secret. I mean, Lilly is so mysterious. Who could resist prying--especially with the culprit and best source of info (Chris) standing right in front of him??

I think he'll try to find out what the deal is between Lilly and Chris as well. I can't see Chris not telling him if he asked, unless she's embarrised about whatever happened between them. I'm guessing he'll take her in (at least for a little while), but he'll have to decide what's more important to him - his relationship with Chris or his working relationship/friendship with Lilly. See, this is why Vera warned him about getting involved with Chris in the first place. He has really created a mess.

Edited to add that I agree with you guys, I think Scotty will probably ask Chris why Lil is so mad at her. But I think Chris might not want to say what it is, if she considers it's something that could make Scotty break up with her.

My hunch is that Lilly will not directly confront Scotty. She'll continue being cold to him and when he finally asks about why she's acting this way, well watch out, Lilly will probably let him have it. Although I suppose Chris will most likely tell Scotty that Lilly knows. Regardless, it will be an awkward situation for each of them.

On the other hand, I have to agree with CCFan thoughts about this situation. I'm wondering if they will just drop this whole storyline, at least for the remainder of the season. Like CC said, shows produced by JB tend to have major plotlines disappear for episodes on end. Hmm....

I agree with Ryebeach and everyone else who thinks Lil will not confront him directly, but will probably wait for him to come around and demand an explanation for her behavior.

I'm kind of hoping though that he (and CCFan) are NOT right about the plotline being dropped. Of course it might, to keep us in suspense. And it does seem to be a tendency. But it's gonna be kind of hard to drop this plotline, because it's messing up work dynamics in the cold case squad.
