I haven't watched the last episode yet (I missed about the three or four last ones) and searching for info on those I read on TV tome that Kite and Lilly broke up. I'm wondering why. Why?  |

Andrea, Kite broke up with Lilly because of her excessive dedication to her work.
The season finale investigated the 1986 murder of a 15 year-old girl. There was a night when Lilly and Kite were at her house, and the girl’s boyfriend came to talk to Lilly (one of the episode’s premises was that Lilly looked like the girl, so the guy was fascinated with Lilly). Kite was really annoyed by that and broke up with Lilly the next day, saying that he admired Lilly for her dedication but he "didn’t want to live like that." (Lilly looked sooo sad!! It broke my heart!!)

The Sept. 10 "Entertainment Weekly" is their special on the upcoming season. Apparently A.D.A. Kite will resurface at least once during the new season, and things are very tense. Lilly ain't happy with him, needless to say.  |

I'm really surprised by this development. I would have bet the farm that we weren't going to see him again. I guess I'm so used to shows not having very good continuity that I'm shocked when shows like CC actually do. It seems to me that they do need to bring him back atleast once to kind of finish everything off between Kite and Lilly. Thanks for the info Blankregus.

I hope Lilly just squashes him like a bug :sandbox: it'll be interesting to see what they say to eachother. Get ready for the akwardness. and, as far as i was concerned, i thought that Josh Hopkins was leaving the show. Maybe its like you said, Naj, and hes coming back to leave. (his ada position)  |

Kite will be appearing in "The Badlands" episode this season.
Now I liked Kite, not when he was hooked up with Lily towards the end of last season but Iliked him as a character when he first appeared. I think shows like this need to have recurring characters for A.D.A.'s, police detectives and such and to have the same actors recur makes the show that much more believable to me.

yeah. i mean, if you watch shows like law and order, they change characters so many times, it makes it just a little less believeable, because every 2 seconds, they have a new ada or detective. it sure confused me when i first started watching. That was one of the bad things about having lilly in a relationship, if they broke up, it would make it awfully uncomfortable to visit the ADA for that search warrant....unless they got a new one. Which makes it confusing. *lol im confusing myself on this one* |

What were your thoughts on the Kite/Lilly encounters in the ep premier last night?
For some reason Kite seems scary to me. Like there's another side we don't know about. I did love the way she brushed him off though.
