I'm surprised there aren't any photos from the zoo trip or maybe they haven't surfaced yet. Pictures seem to be at a premium for this visit. I remember there were some cute ones of her with a Koala last time she visited Australia.

Cold Case’s Indomitable Detective Kathryn Morris on Life, Death and Crime
In its 5th Season, Cold Case continues to hold its position as one of the most successful crime dramas on prime-time TV. AOL: In its 5th Season, what keeps viewing fresh for the audience of Cold Case?
KM: Each episode is a new experience and a new journey for Lilly and the viewer. With each case comes new evidence and a renewed sense of empathy for the victim of violent crimes. That sensation never gets old.

AOL: The name Cold Case does indicate the story line to a degree to the new viewer, but is there more to the series than just another crime drama?
KM: I think the series delves further and creates dialogue about the social and human condition in today’s society. Most of the cases Lilly solves are senseless homicide. They are violent. They are unnecessary. It forces us to evaluate our justice systems and puts a great value back on human life.

AOL: Do any of these cases affect you? Do you ever go to bed and have trouble sleeping?
KM: I work at really creating a separate mental space for myself between work and home life. I do try and leave my work at the office. That said, there was a case where little children were cut up and locked in freezers. It was gruesome and repulsive. The saddest factor was that it was the story line was based loosely on a real homicide. I did find that unsettling.

AOL: Lilly Rush pulls off some amazing stunts in some physically challenging spaces, for example drowning, shootings and stakeouts. How do you prepare for them? Is there a special “Action Stunt” class at the gym these days?
KM: I am not really a gym person. I prefer to do some yoga and go for a walk (laughs).

AOL: Lilly Rush comes from a challenged upbringing with an absent alcoholic mother…quite different to your childhood complete with a loving family and Gospel singing road-show “Morris Code”…how did you prepare to feel her loneliness and sadness?
KM: I think because I was so lucky growing up to know what those feelings of happiness and family are that I look emotionally draw on what I would feel without those important elements. I have great empathy for Lilly Rush.
