It came as a bit of a shock to us too. Where have you guys been the past month? We've not been discussing that for a while now. I think there was the first hint of it in an article FrenchFan translated for us all. There is a reference to her being alone or lonely. Since then we haven't discussed it HERE or HERE and possibly one other place I can't find. And the recent Parade article had her down as "single". Though perhaps that was as in not married. It may mean we now know who the guy with Kathryn at the Japanese Harry Potter premiere is. Edit: Found FrenchFan's article |

I hope I'm not crossing the line on rules here but on the Getty website there are pictures of David Barrett directing a Cold Case episode. He kinda looks like the guy at the Harry Potter premier and the guy who was as Randy at the super nova party.

Ok, I admit I haven't read the article yet  . That being said, I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that she's dating someone else now. She'd been engaged to the other guy forever, but in my experience (rather, in the experience of people around me), long engagements with no definite wedding dates generally mean you're not really ready to commit. And lots of times if you're not ready to commit it's 'cause you're not sure if it's the person for you, and you eventually break up. I'm glad she doesn't have baby fever 'cause it would be hard on her if she did, with her age and the show and all. It just makes the decision so much easier I guess. |

I like her honesty about not having children.
I have a friend who got married and they both agreed that having children was not a priority in their lives...but her mother-in-law just won't stop giving her grief.
Oh bought the OK mag......yep thats Dave Barrett at the Harry Potter premiere.

OMG I totally thought the ONLY thing that was gonna be in the OK! mag was the quote from Kathryn about having kids, but heck I bought it anyways of course; and when I turned to find a 2-page spread of her vaca with her NEW BF I was SO excited!!! Already got it taped up on my closet door  I'm just glad we finally know where KM stands on the whole relationship thing. And I'm really glad that she is HAPPY!! ;D |

I think that's great that she has so much respect for the actors and the show. But if she got pregnant me and ColdCaseGirl would be making a care package, I'm sure:) As long as she's happy I think it's wonderful! I like how she doesn't sugar coat anything!

I agree that not everyone needs or wants kids. I respect her decision, I do believe that around season 3 or 4 she broke off her engagement to the accountant. Also David Barrett has a 7 year old daughter so in a way she is a mother in a way. In the season 6 finale his daughter plays the flashback lilly when she was 7.  |
