WOW, Kathryn looks good there She'd look even better here They're filming CC now right? So I was expecting Lilly-locks, where that looks more like what we'll refer to from now on as the "Cannes-do"

I believe that Kathryn is filming CC , but maybe they straighten her hair out for the show. I hope there will be more to come

Just found this article mentioning Kathryn's presence at the race: Sporting News (bottom of the page). Actress Kathryn Morris from the CBS drama "Cold Case" was also on hand for the drivers' meeting. Morris' upcoming movie "Resurrecting The Champ" was advertised on the hood of Stanton Barrett's Chevrolet.
"I saw it on the hood of the car and I couldn't believe it," Morris said. "It was like when you're watching on TV and you see the big McDonald's symbol -- there it was."
Morris is dating Stanton Barrett's brother, David, the supervising producer on "Cold Case."
"Let me just say when you become part of a NASCAR family going to the grocery store or driving a country road is a completely different experience," Morris said.

Thanks for the pics and info RichE. That's pretty cool that the movie was on the hood of Stanton Barrett's car! Of course, the connection didn't hurt.

Thanks for the pics and the article heads-up, RichE. You're on it (as usual). I do like this "Monoco" 'do ... Apparently, Kathryn's "connection" to the Barrett clan can be dated back to at least January 2007 in this mention: ----- From BadBoy.com / Bad Boy Brands International, Inc. 1/24/07 Chicks Dig ItActress Kathryn Morris of the CBS hit show 'Cold Case' stopped by the Bad Boy/Pro30 Racing pit at the AMA Supercross races in San Francisco. After a few pointers from our Bad Boy/Pro30 Racing NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Stanton Barrett, Kathryn graciously posed for some pictures with the Bad Boy Power Drink in hand. Bottom line: Chicks dig Bad Boy! ----- Full article (with KM picture) is here.

Thanks for the pics and the article heads-up, RichE. You're on it (as usual). I do like this "Monoco" 'do ... It's Monaco. I think prefer my "Cannes-do" phrase. As in "Cannes" pronounced "can". Get it? Never mind. I spotted that one late last night during another trawl for pics of KM at this race, but didn't do anything with it. In deference to the board rule on private life speculation I've been reluctant to comment much. Might explain the new 'do. And here is the pic LK linked to: Pre-Cannes-do. More can do.

Thanks for reloading the pic, RichE. Apologies for my Monaco typo. Just to be clear, I'm not speculating on KM's private life as I know that is in violation of the rules of the board. I posted the article in referrence to Stanton Barrett having mentioned he had known/worked with Kathryn previously, etc. I thought it was interesting his team was chosen for this 'Champ' promotion and decided to find out more about him personally. After visiting Stanton's Web site, it seems he has several ties to Hollywood as a stunt driver, producer, etc. As such, I found the above article/promotion KM did with/for one of the products with which he is associated and/or came to learn the Barrett Motorsports team wasn't some random NASCAR team doing the promo for the 'Champ' movie. If this should not have been posted, apologies to the board.

Just to be clear, I'm not speculating on KM's private life as I know that is in violation of the rules of the board. I for one wasn't suggesting anything like that LK. I know you're far too sensible for that. My post didn't mean "I didn't, so you shouldn't."

It just got me thinking there could be this off chance someone might interpret the article differently, so I thought it best to clarify. I have always found it interesting how certain NASCAR teams align with certain film production sponsors. You often see the big-named Nextel drivers driving special edition cars to promote blockbusters and what not. Am not sure I thought I'd ever see either a Busch series or a Nextel Cup series car promoting a KM film - especially of a more independent variety. LOL!

Just to clarify, there is a fine line here, but so far, no one has crossed it. Thanks for the earlier news item, LillyKat. It does clarify Stanton Barrett's comment about working with her in the past. Of course, he may have also worked with her in the entertainment arena. Interesting point about film studios using NASCAR to advertise their films. The day after Resurrecting the Champ popped up in the Busch race, the latest Rush Hour installment graced the hood on a stock car during the Nextel Cup race in Pocono.
