It won't let me register a vote. In what way does it fail for you Naj? I looked at it the other day and it just gave me a page of names (with radio buttons) and the disclaimer link at the bottom. I use a Mac and Firefox. I looked at the page code and it is truly awful, some of the worst I've ever seen. It is almost entirely JavaScript based, which is completely unnecessary and increasingly seen as a security weakness. I usually have JavaScript disabled in my browser (using the NoScript plug-in for Firefox) and only enable it on sites that I trust and it actually helps the browsing experience. I enabled it briefly for that site but it made no difference to the page. I've just tried on a PC and Internet Explorer and it is clear there is not only JavaScript but ActiveX controls (further security weakness possibilities and limited to Windows+IE), and cookies galore (that well known villain on Seasame Street ;D ). Only then did the Vote button appear. All-in-all a very poor show and so completely unnecessary to write a page to do that. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. I couldn't get it to work at first either, but then I tried opening it in a new window and then it worked. Very mysterious  . But I got to vote ;D |
