It seems to be about the death of a deaf boy (Andy).

I never thought I'd see this day after what happened with the strike and all but... yay, new spoilers!!! ;D
This is a 2006 case. Victim is Andy Riles, 17. He attended the "Philadelphia school of the deaf" and was initially reported missing. He was also really good at playing classical music on the piano before he lost his hearing, and there's a lot of Chopin and Bach in this one instead of the 'usual' songs.
Oh, and Miller is getting phone calls from someone named Jarrod Jones but she doesn't want to talk to him so Vera keeps giving her messages.

Not really. It seems to be all about the case, at least that's what I got from the info I was able to access.

I'm glad they are doing an episode about the deaf culture, very interesting.
I did hear that she was supposed to see a therapist, but I guess that's not in that episode.

Awesome. I'm actually excited that they're using Bach and Chopin in this episode instead of the hits from 2006.
Oh and leave it to me to start analyzing the title of all things. As it turns out C-minor is a minor scale based on C. According to Wikipedia the C-minor scale has been associated with heroic struggles.
Music in the minor scale also tends to take on a darker tone than those songs using the major scale.

I'm glad they are doing an episode about the deaf culture, very interesting. There's been a kind of surge in TV episodes regarding deaf culture. They've done a great portraying it so far, and considering Cold Case's good track of portraying things truthfully, I'm pretty confident that they'll keep up with that trend.

Oooh, can't wait. I've been wondering if they'd ever do a Cold Case with classical music! I'm in the classical music world, so it'll be really fun to see what they do with it!
Yes, C minor is a key associated with heroic struggles. Beethoven's Fifth Symphony comes to mind...and Beethoven was also deaf. Wonder if they did that on purpose...ah, the speculation.
Isn't it nice to have a new episode to buzz about???

Any news on guest cast?
A regular in roles of deaf people is Marlee Matlin, who is always worth watching.

I think it may be a little too soon for that. Also, if I read correctly the main adult "deaf" character seems to be male so as much as I love Marlee Matlin I'm not sure she'd fit in this one.

Hmm, deaf actors. The only two that come to mind are Deanne Bray and Troy Kotsur, who coincedentally, are married. But I don't know who they might get....
Considering how many 2006/and surrounding years episodes they've done lately, I'm glad that if they're going to do another one they're doing something different in the music department. I'm looking forward to this. Do we have an airdate yet?

Another newer case with a teenager, eh, i'm kind of getting tired of these. But I am very happy to hear about the classical music, and about someone who is deaf. I can't wait to see it, because I am so happy the strike is finally over!!!!!!!

got the TV guide for this week in case there was something good for CC, and right when I opened to the first page there was a pic of LILLY! It's cool, and a pretty good sized pic. No more EXCEPT: along with the caption (later on in the mag), beiside "Cold Case" it says 8:58/7:58c so be on the lookout for it to start EARLY!! ;D
