It's a 1987 case about a 6-year-old kid, Clayton Hawthorne, who's been murdered.
Scotty's challenged on a personal level when the only suspect for the murder keeps calling him demanding answers. Also, what happened to his brother's is mentioned during the episode, and there's a hostage situation.
