This is a 1968 case involving the death of a cop, but it looks interesting because the guy was having a love affair with... another cop.
Oh, and there's an African-American woman who shows up at the PD headquarter looking for Vera. ^_^

From Tvguide.com
The unsolved 1968 murder of a policeman is reinvestigated when a dying inmate claims he took a brick of heroin from the slain officer's patrol car shortly after the victim was gunned down in the same vehicle. The probe reveals the cop put the heat on a neighborhood drug dealer who had other officers on his payroll. The victim also had a reputation as a womanizer

"Forever Blue" -- Lilly and the team re-open the 1968 killing of a local cop suspected of being a homosexual, on COLD CASE, Sunday, Dec. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode that was written by Tom Pettit.
The word on the street is that Coop was involved in a drug bust gone bad, however, Lilly secures information that would lead her to believe that Coop was romantically involved with his partner, Jimmy, which did not sit well with the rest of the force.
