Here's the full press release for the premiere (as opposed to the partial one I posted in episodes to keep the spoilers out):
THE 1995 CASE INVOLVING TWO TEENAGE BOYS WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE AFTER GOING ON A MURDEROUS SHOOTING SPREE IS RE-OPENED WHEN EVIDENCE SURFACES THAT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A THIRD SHOOTER, ON THE FOURTH SEASON PREMIERE OF "COLD CASE," SUNDAY, SEPT. 24
"Rampage" -- The 1995 case involving two teenage boys who committed suicide after going on a murderous rampage at the local mall is re-opened when evidence shows there may have been a third shooter, on the fourth season premiere of COLD CASE, Sunday, Sept. 24 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Mark Pellington directed the episode that was written by Executive Producer Veena Sud.
When a video tape of the shooting is discovered hidden in an air vent in the mall, Lilly and the team see that the third shooter managed to leave the crime scene pretending to be a survivor. Now, Lilly and the team must retrace the lives of the teenage boys and the events that led up to that fateful day, and re-interview all of the survivors.
COLD CASE is a drama about Lilly Rush (Morris), a lone female detective in the Philadelphia homicide squad, who finds her niche when she's assigned to "cold cases" -- crimes that have never been solved. Previously, she used her instinctive understanding of the criminal mind on current murders. Now, she's interrogating witnesses of yester-crimes whose lives and circumstances have since changed, making use of today's new science and finding fresh clues to solve cases that were previously unsolvable -- all of which appeals to this smart, driven detective. She's also prepared for the consequences -- that her work will open up old wounds and may lead suspects to commit new crimes. When she hits a dead end, Rush seeks advice from her respected mentor, Lt. John Stillman. Also on the team are Det. Scotty Valens Rush's arrogant partner; Det. Will Jeffries who's been around long enough to serve as Lilly's link to the past, Det. Nick Vera a tough cop who's considered the go-to guy for getting a confession and Kat Miller the new girl on the team who is eager to prove her worthiness. Now, Rush sees her new assignment as a turning point in her career when she decides to make it her business to make sure that no victim is ever forgotten.
COLD CASE is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, in association with Warner Bros. Productions and CBS Productions. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Veena Sud and Meredith Stiehm are the executive producers.

Thanks irishkale and TVFan!!
I noticed that they still have "the lone female detective," but they also mention Kat as the "new girl on the team." A bit of a contradiction, isn't it?

Thak you Irish! I was wanting caps of pic 6 and 11 above. Is there any way you can get me the follow up to number 11, with her standing up in the shorts and top?

Based on the preview for this ep and what we know about the next ones it really seems that the writers have been listening to the fans about what we want. We're getting more Lilly, more of her personal life, more action, and very emotional and heavy cases. Maybe this season will turn everything around .

13 more days until the premire of this episode, the promo ran last night on TNT during the re-run of "The Plan"
From TVGuide.com
In the fourth-season opener, Lilly investigates a 1995 shooting spree at a mall in which two teen boys killed 15 people before committing suicide. The case is reopened when a video of the crimes is found and it suggests that a third shooter was involved. Also, Stillman asks Valens to investigate whether Valens' brother may have been molested by a boxing coach in the 1980s.
