Episode 4.01: Rampage

I agree with you also tiger_lilly [sort of]. I want Joseph to be around for the long haul but I don't want it all sweets and roses to begin with. I wanna see Lilly struggling to manage her work and a relationship. I want to see her doubts about trusting someone and getting involved with them. After the difficulty she had getting close to Kite it really should not be an easy time for Lilly. Ultimately I do want to see her happy and work through some of her issues and I think Joseph is a good candidate to help her do that. Besides he is rather scrumy and I'd like to see him often.

Whilst I am in the "pro Joseph" camp, and I do want to see the relationship explored - as I would really like to see Lilly be successful in her personal life - I suddenly do not want to see the show become ALL about Lilly and Joseph and/or over-emphasize that aspect of the character development. That would be the wrong creative direction, IMO.

For me, I would like to see the show sprinkle the Lilly/Joseph storyline throughout the course of the season (or at least a good number of episodes), where there is an adequate, believable and intriguing amount of time to build the story arc, explore it, and have both characters stay IN character.

As we were discussing in the Other Shows folder, I think CC could pick up a few pointers from The Closer on how to successfully have the strong female detective have a relationship, with a committed guy (not a fling), face/deal with the all the ups/downs/uncertainties, yet not have the whole thing overshadow the main direction of the show (or the main character). I guess we'll have to wait and see what the CC creative team decides.

In any case, I do not want bluebirds chirping and wedding bells ringing. LOL! Lilly needs to be Lilly (preferably touching back to a bit of that "spunk" from Seasons 1 & 2), but I also want to see her move forward personally. I know I sound like a broken record, but the poor gal needs to get back to having a life one of these days.

You are right LillyKat, the image of wedding bells and bluebirds gives me the creeps haha
It is hard for me to see in my mind how I would like the show to be. So I'll just wait and see what happens. Wanting both for Lilly to have a relationsship AND stay herself .

A summary (a little longer) of the episode

This Season Premiere begins like all the episodes from “Cold Case” by a flashback. This one is held on September 23, 1995.
One discovers two 16 year old teenagers, Neal and Cameron who seem to have fun with a camera in a great surface. After having exchanged some thoughts, they take out suddenly weapons and they shoot at the customers. Fifteen people were killed this day.
The parents of Cameron go thinking to the site that their son is likely to belong to the victims but it is then taught them very quickly that it is rather one of the suspects. With this advertisement, all the parents still under the shock cannot prevent themselves from disfiguring the parents of the supposed murderer. Mr. Coulter, the father of Cameron claims that its family is completely ordinary. But it must be justified possession of military weapons all the same…...


Lilly and Miller question Dayton, one of the comrades of the time of Neal and Cameron. They played together play online, Rampage. But Dayton known as to have ceased playing with them well before the incident. They saw their parts like front transmissions the action in rem. Miller questions Davie, another of the victims. It would seem that there was a third gunner, that with a camera. And it would be about Tina, the girl for whom Davie cracked somewhat. She stole the camera but claims not to know of the whole how this one made to be in the hands of the two killers. She explains why everyone in its school knew that Neal and Cameron were disturbed a little, that they spoke unceasingly about slaughters but none them had really paid attention there at this time. Concerning the camera, it explains to have gotten caught by Barry, in charge of safety which threatened to call his parents but he it forever done. A little later it is learned that this Barry told in Neal and Cameron that the majority of the cameras of monitoring of the great surface are false. The teenagers deduce from it at once that they could steal a weapon without nobody noticing them. Lilly does not understand at all why this agent in said as much…
