Thanks for the news a2z. I wonder if it will be a season theme with the one word titles. We have "Colors" and now "family." Hmm.

COLD CASE (9/25; SEASON PREMIERE) Air Date: 9/25/05 (SUNDAY) Time Slot: 8:00 PM-9:00 PM EST on CBS Episode Title: "Family"
RUSH AND THE TEAM OPEN THE 1988 CASE INVOLVING A TEENAGER WHO WAS KILLED ON THE SAME NIGHT HIS DAUGHTER WAS BORN, ON THE THIRD SEASON PREMIERE OF "COLD CASE," SUNDAY, SEPT. 25
the actor who portrayed the Defunct Detective ("General Hospital") Guest Stars as Det. "Josie chippy" Sutton
"Family" -- When a young girl, Anya, tells Rush she has been contacted by a man who claims to be her father, the team re-investigates the murder of Jimmy, a teenager killed on the night of her birth, on the third season premiere of COLD CASE, Sunday, Sept. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Mark Pellington directed the episode that was written by Creator and Executive Producer Meredith Stiehm
Rush and Valens question Anya's mother, Quinn, who gave birth at the prom and was in love with Jimmy, but didn't know what to do when he left her that night. Despite the claim that there's no one else who could be the father, Vera and Jeffries quickly find out that's not necessarily true. In fact, they learn from Quinn that when Jimmy told the coach they were keeping the baby, the coach cast doubt as to whether Jimmy was the father. Now, Anya has disappeared with the man claiming to be her father and Rush and Valens are on the hunt. Meanwhile, the team has mixed feelings about new detective, "Josie chippy" Sutton (guest star the actor who portrayed the Defunct Detective), joining them, as she arrives under a cloud of suspicion regarding a sex scandal with her former sergeant.
COLD CASE is a drama about Lilly Rush (Morris), a lone female detective in the Philadelphia homicide squad, who finds her niche when she's assigned to "cold cases" -- crimes that have never been solved. Previously, she used her instinctive understanding of the criminal mind on current murders. Now, she's interrogating witnesses of yester-crimes whose lives and circumstances have since changed, making use of today's new science and finding fresh clues to solve cases that were previously unsolvable -- all of which appeals to this smart, driven detective. She's also prepared for the consequences -- that her work will open up old wounds and may lead suspects to commit new crimes. When she hits a dead end, Rush seeks advice from her respected mentor, Lt. John Stillman. Also on the team are Det. Scotty Valens Rush's arrogant partner; Det. Will Jeffries who's been around long enough to serve as Lilly's link to the past, and Det. Nick Vera a tough cop who's considered the go-to guy for getting a confession. Now, Rush sees her new assignment as a turning point in her career when she decides to make it her business to make sure that no victim is ever forgotten.
COLD CASE is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, in association with Warner Bros. Productions and CBS Productions. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Meredith Stiehm are the executive producers.
Lilly Rush: Kathryn Morris John Stillman: John Finn Nick Vera: Jeremy Ratchford Will Jeffries: Thom Barry Scotty Valens: Danny Pino "Josie chippy" Sutton: the actor who portrayed the Defunct Detective Jimmy Tate (1988): Chuck Hittinger Jered Wyatt (1988/2005): Robert Curtis Brown Angie Parrington (1988): Alana Austin Quinn Ellis (1988): Nathalie Nicole Paulding Claire: Brooke Anne Smith Lindsey Dunlay: Bahni Turnpin Quinn Ellis (2005): Amy Van Horne Angie Parrington (2005): Kristin Richardson Nurse Laura (1988/2005): Cheryl White Coach Johnson (1988/2005): Vince Duvall Timmy: Tahmus Rounds

Wow! This sounds like a great episode. And the one who's name we shall not say confirmed it through the webmaster of the actor who portrayed the Defunct Detective Online (SBO) that she's not a guest star.

This is from Tvnow.

Rush and Valens unravel the mystery of a girl's parentage and the death of the man assumed to be her father; the detectives are ambivalent about a new member of the squad, "Josie chippy" Sutton (guest star the actor who portrayed the Defunct Detective). 60 minutes- Season Premiere, (CC), N, In Stereo

I'm wondering if there's going to be some eye rollling and looks among the detectives. I'll suppose there will be.

Thanks Naj, that was a good find. ;D Why is it still saying the one who's name we shall not say is a guest star??? I think this will be a great episode. Lilly's own family life is such a raw topic that I am eager to know what her reaction to the case is. I think some definate eye rolling will happen Along with some gossiping too, perhaps???

They need to stop calling my girl a guest star like RIGHT NOW! :smile64:
Nah, I really don't care what they call her as long as she is in the opening of the show with her name and a few pics/action shots. I've waited 4 years to see that! :smile2:

Wow... this is an great find! Thanks! I hope there will be eyerolling, glares, suspicion, and that they give her the cold shoulder. I want her to earn respect on this show from a personal aspect and for her character and the diehard fans. Nothing makes me more proud to be a the one who's name we shall not say fan than to see my girl fight for her character's integrity and make the fans go crazy with either love or hatred. She always seems to draw some reaction. Any publicity is great publicity Too, the one who's name we shall not say's great with giving back as good as she gets when in character mode! And also, if last Sunday was the season finale of season 2, what will air this Sunday? Anyone know??

Just my personal speculation but I suppose they have her listed as a guest star for the casual viewer. I don't know if the first ep will be guest star and then the next one will put her in the lineup or what they will do. Maybe it will be several eps? :smile10: Yea, with this little find I'm assuming the detectives may not be too thrilled themselves. This would make for some interest i would think.

LOL@Naj.... she has the cast and the fans to win over. It's kinda funny to think that Joise has to go through the ringer for acceptance, as well as the one who's name we shall not say! LOL!
And I haven't enjoyed the Emmy's since the one who's name we shall not say left daytime (They were probably relieved they had to stop giving the one who's name we shall not say awards, lol)... and may have to get back into them now that I have a new primetime show to support. Is Cold Case nominated for anything???

Is Cold Case nominated for anything??? You can bet your sweet bottom I will be watching the Emmys and the Pre-Shows. Sometimes when new actors join shows, the Emmy's is sort of like their debut to talk to the press and what not. So if the CC cast is going to be there I bet the one who's name we shall not say will be too. ~Vicky~
