When they announced that she was gonna be a regular, I thought, "OK, they are adding a hottie to the show so they can promote the heck out of her." But they aren't promoting her appearance AT ALL other than the "guest star" mention on the CBS website. So now I'm thinking... "they added her as part of a story arc that they're going to stretch out over the season." AND... I think that the arc does have a specific ending that the producers have already decided on, and that was specifically designed for the "Josie chippy" character; if it doesn't end badly for JS, she might graduate to the regular cast at the beginning of next season. Personally I'm going for the "Star Trek" theory --> there's always a new guy you've never seen who beams down to the planet with the regular cast. You know he's the one who's going to get eaten by the monster, zapped with a phaser, etc, because they would never kill off the original cast members. Actually I have a bunch of theories: 1) They've never killed off a member of the police force. They're taking a cue from the HORRIBLE thing they did to the character on NCIS. 2) She's marrying Scotty. 3) The gay-themed episodes do VERY WELL in the ratings, so they are making her Lilly's new love interest.  |

OH NO! Erase # 3 from your theories! I love the actor who portrayed the Defunct Detective's love scenes, lol, but I can't watch her get it on with another female! LOL!
I have nothing against gay-themed shows, but I rather not see two beautiful women that CAN act do this, lol... It just seems too pornographic! LOL!

I don't like the 3rd one. It disturbs me. I know both actresses are good enough to pull it off... but dunno... I'm too much of a Lilly ho, I guess. I don't want anything that takes her away from me  . |

I was thinking the same thing, I thought if Jamie Lee Curtis was going to guest star it would be this episode.
I hope they got her, but I don't think they would keep it a surprise. If I were them, I would want to broadcast that as loudly as possible!!
Then again, I hope they are keeping it a surprise, because I was really hoping to see her as a guest star.
