Team reopens a 2002 case.
Dennis Hirschfelder, 35, cab driver but wanna-be actor. We see him auditioning for "Cabaret" at the beginning of the episode. Later, they find him dead outside the theatre the night of the premiere.
According to people on the Cold Case Source #1 board the title means welcome.

The title "Willkommen" definitely means translated "Welcome" - and is probably taken from the song title "Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome" - one of the songs from the musical Cabaret.

I think it's German. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. You're soo.... right. :smile91: Wonder if they're going to use some of the music from Cabaret, despite that it doesn't really fit into the timeline. And if there is more connection between the story of Cabaret and the case or just the fact that the victim auditioned for it.

I hope there will be a connection other than the audition, cos that movie is so intense... the dark mood would fit perfectly in a CC episode...

I so like this title! ;D It's the second time, after Schadenfreude, that the title is German! It will take a long time, I guess, untill the episode is shown in Germany. Maybe someone can tell me what it's about when it aired in the USA!

Why is it that episodes of americal shows often have its names in German? The same was with X-Files.

Nope. As far as our knowledge goes, we have nothing about the season finale. As you can see by our spoiler board we're only up to 3.18 and seasons usually have 23 episodes.

Found and article on this ep looks like tracie is going to be reunited with her rent co-star Adam Pascal to Guest Star on CBS-TV's "Cold Case" By Andrew Gans 02 Mar 2006 Adam Pascal, recently seen reprising his role of Roger in the film of "Rent," will guest star on the April 2 episode of "Cold Case." The episode of the CBS hit is entitled "Willkommen" and will air from 8-9 PM ET; check local listings. Andrea Newman penned the upcoming show, which was directed by Paris Barclay. The April 2 broadcast of "Cold Case," according to press notes, is described thusly: "In 2002, Dennis Hirschfelder (Pascal) joined a community theatre as a cabaret singer, but on opening night he never made it to the stage to 'break a leg.' Instead, he was shot to death directly outside the backstage door. His murder was considered one of several shootings and muggings committed by local robbers who were never caught, however, all evidence pointed to someone inside the theatre. Most of Dennis' theatre friends called it the greed-eyed monster that killed him and now Lilly and Jeffries begin their quest to catch a killer." Adam Pascal was part of the final cast of Aida, playing the role he created several years ago, the ill-fated Radames. He also portrayed the Emcee in the now-closed revival of Cabaret. Pascal made his theatrical debut as Roger in the original cast of Jonathan Larson's Rent; for that performance, he received Theatre World and Obie awards as well as Tony and Drama Desk nominations. Pascal was a co-producer of the hit Off-Broadway play Fully Committed and appeared in the Actors' Fund benefit concerts of Chess and Hair. The actor was recently seen in the film version of "Rent."
