Cool! I was hoping they'd get a "name" actress for the role, so they could really hype the ep. Of course that probably means the previews are going to "spoil" the surprise of Lilly's Mom. |

The TV Guide article goes into it a bit. According to Meredith, we're going to learn a lot about her mother and more about the incident that caused the infamous 49 report. I would imagine more information will come to light as the episode's airdate draws closer as irishkale pointed out.

I love Meredith Baxter. I can totally see her as Lilly's mom. I just hope the writers will do a good job with her and give us a multidimensional character--someone you can love and hate at the same time. The actress can pull it off for sure. I don't really like the plot they've designed for her, this whole flash wedding thing... but if it somehow leads to the 49 I can stomach it. Maybe they can make the whole thing less condemnable in our eyes--wouldn't that be something?

I really liked this news. Meredith Baxter seems a great choice to play Lilly's mother. Let's hope we can learn something more about Lilly through Ellen. :smile28:

I think Meredith is a good choice too. I did expect Lilly's mom to be about 15-16 years older than her though. I was thinking that maybe she got pregnant very young. But it doesn't look quite that way.
