Name and a short description given by Orison @ SRC#1: "Death Penalty: Final Appeal" Team re-opens a 1994 case. Victim is Nina Lange, 16, raped and murdered in her father's brand-new house.
The guy who's supposed to be executed for the girl's murder has been put away by Jeffries; he calls him and asks him for help.
Oh, and at the beginning of the episode our guys are complaining about AC not working. Apparently it's a hot April morning.

Air Date: 4/16/06 (SUNDAY) Time Slot: 8:00 PM-9:00 PM EST on CBS Episode Title: (#320) "Death Penalty: Final Appeal"
A MAN PLEADS WITH JEFFRIES AND LILLY TO TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT HIS CASE JUST DAYS BEFORE HIS SCHEDULED EXECUTION, ON "COLD CASE," SUNDAY, APRIL 16
"Death Penalty: Final Appeal" -- A man Jeffries arrested in 1994 begs him to reexamine his case just days before his scheduled execution, on COLD CASE, Sunday, April 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Alex Zakrzewski directed the episode that was written by Sean Whitesell.
Jeffries is convinced of the man's guilt, however, one of the original investigating detectives has been accused of hiding evidence, which gives Jeffries reason to take a second look. Lilly and Jeffries pursue a number of leads that all lead to dead ends, especially since no one will talk, and they begin to lose faith that they will be able to solve the case before the execution takes place.
Lilly Rush: Kathryn Morris John Stillman: John Finn Nick Vera: Jeremy Ratchford Will Jeffries: Thom Barry Scotty Valens: Danny Pino Kat Miller: Tracie Thoms Andre Tibbs (1994/2006): Michael Jace Wayne Nelson (1994/2006): Dean Norris Terry Mike Lange (1994/2006): Eddie Bowz Nina Mary Lange (1994): Cameron Goodman Joey Norman (1994): Michael Cavalieri Ada William Danner: Thomas Calabro Barbie Yen (1994): Chihye Chung Barbie Yen (2006): Samantha Quan Guard: Stacy Hall Warden: Weston I. I hope Jeffries doesn't get into too much trouble... he really decks that guy in the preview. I just don't want to see a plot development where he gets suspended from the squad!

Well... he must have one hell of a reason. Jeffries isn't the type to lose control. So maybe everyone else will understand?

If it's about death penalty... and Will's losing it... maybe it has something to do with his wife? Maybe the guy mentions his wife, or taunts him about his wife or something? I dare not think it could be her actual MURDERER... that would be too much of a coincidence even for CC, and anyway hit and run doesn't get you on death row.
