I feel like if this show were produced by anyone else and maybe on NBC, it would get so much more recognition. I mostly read about it in CSI articles when they're talking about JB's other shows.

Couldn't agree more CC Fan. I find it so ironic that it does so well in the ratings, but no one ever talks about it unless it's in the context of CSI. It's just not one of those "buzz" shows. As a contrast, consider Joan of Arcadia (no disrespect to JoA - I love the show). Last week was the first time it won its timeslot so far this season. It gets around a 5.5 rating point compared to CC's timeslot-winning 10.0 (this week). Also, CC consistanly ranks in the Top 20 unlike JoA. Yet, you hear much more about JoA than CC. CC is so different from CSI, but "TV people" constantly keep it in CSI's shadow.

Whenever articles refer to CBS or JB, they always cite the CSI franchise but almost never mention CC. I'm not sure why because I wouldn't say any of the CSI's are better than CC but I think it's the same as restaurants. You always hear about the restaurant franchises. They seem to get all the publicity while the one location, though exceptionally good and well run establishments remain out of the spotlight. That's how I feel the press treats CC.

I hadnt really thought about it before, but it doesnt seem to get mentioned that much, does it? The CSI's are so popular i guess that when most people think JB they think CSI. Maybe if CC starts to get more recognition, like Emmy's and stuff, people might start to pay more attention. It constantly does well, but no one really Mentions it.

In my opinion, the problem is that most people think that the JB shows are all the same, and since CSI was the 1st one, it gets more attenttion.
About the attenttion given to Joan of Arcadia and other shows that don't do so well in the ratings, I guess it's about the target audience. Shows that target younger audiences usually get more attenttion from the press (I could be wrong here, but that's the feeling I have).

That's a good point Tatiana. I bet you're right. You hear an aweful lot about "The O.C.," but it too doesn't have a steller ratings record. Yet, it has a young target audience. Interesting point.
