I'd like an ensemble but for some reason I'd like to see Lilly and Scotty as two equal leads. Like L&O: SVU, I like to watch how the two leads play off one another. I'm not big on shows with just one main character.

Great question!
I think it should be an ensemble. Much more interesting that way. From the interactions between co-workers to how they work together to solve a case.
With one lead, it can get repetitive. I would not want Lilly and Scotty as the leads if it would cut the screen time of Stillman, Jeffries and Vera. I feel that they are an integral part of the show and should be used equally as much as Valens and Rush.

I like that there is one main character. That was really the premise of the show, and having a female main character was what made the show kinda unique.. i think that Lilly is the main focus of the show. ;D

I like every character on the show. That said, I am all about Lilly. She is why I love this show so much. She should for sure stay the focus. There are plenty enough law shows with ensemble casts, there is no need for one more. Let's keep Cold Case special. Thank you for listening.

I voted for Lilly. She is the reason CC is my fav show. I like the ensemble casts of L&O and CSI, but like Onebyone said, Lilly as the lead makes the show unique. It also allows a female to carry her own drama for a change instead of the three male-led CSIs. This is a great question CC Fan b/c I'm worried that the show is going to start to drift away from its core - Lilly (IMO).

I also voted for Lilly as the lead. I love shows with a strong female lead, and I only became a fan of CC because of Lilly's personality.
However, this doesn't mean the show wouldn't be good as an ensemble show. It's just not what I want to see.

I voted for Lily sitll as the known main lead with more screen time-- then Scotty being secondary and then the rest.

I'd like to see an ensemble show maybe every third show. So if we count the first episode of season 2 as an "ensemble show", then we would have two episodes where Lilly is the lead, then an ensemble show that would give us more depth into the other characters.
For example, in the season premiere, we learned that Vera is having marital problems (and we see him boozing it up with two women at the end). They could make reference to it offhandedly in the next two episodes, then when they have the "ensemble" episode, they could address it directly, bring it to the forefront, etc.
( I will mention though that I love every second that KM is onscreen!)

Hi irishkale, I agree with the ensemble part too as long as Lily is still the main focus in many of the other eps. I do enjoy when they all come together and divey the screen time up for several cases in the season. It gives it a team effort look. So that would be okay to have the same formula they did last year. {don't know if this made sense} ~Naj

Since Lily rocks, although I respect John finn, I don't mind it. Its much worse if I hated Lily! :smile41:
