I figured while things are slow this summer, I'd start a poll of the week, so every week there will be a new question. If you have a suggestion for a poll question, please feel free to PM me or add it here or the Suggestions thread.

I voted no because part of the point of the show was to have lilly be the only female detective on the team. if they added another female, it would kinda defeat the purpose...

another woman as a regular cast member, never!!
I could live with another woman as a recurring guest star - she and Lilly could be competitive on the work place. But she should not be a detective - Lilly must remain the only queen of the Homicide Squad !

I voted No as well. I like the way Lilly holds her own in "the boys club." I wouldn't want that dynamic messed with.

NO Way! Lilly is the girl 'round these parts. I would like to see a woman brought in to be a friend or buddy to Lilly-someone she could hang out with and talk about how cool it is that blondes get their lattes quicker . But as far as another woman detective-BIG THUMBS DOWN!

I had to say "NO" as well. I didn't take to her in the finale. As I said before they don't need anymore detectives. I like, Stillman, Jeffries, Vera and Valens .... thank you very much. There's enough to divey the screen time to already and I don't want anyone else cutting into Lily's limelight. ~Naj ;D

I agree with Naj to the last syllable (very boring of me!). The present team is exceptional. John Finn is quietly terrific as the appropriately named Stillman, Pino is growing on me, and Ratchford and Barry always leave me wanting to know more about them -- an ideal dynamic. And less time for KM would be a mistake. If I'd adjust anything, it'd be the wrapups set to music, which can be overly neat -- to the point of undermining Lilly's poetic complexities. Thinking about the ways they could screw up a show that's so artful and strong will make me crazy.

And do you care to begin a thread and ponder just how they could screw up season two? Might be kinda interesting to read all the ideas. ~Naj

I don't know. She could be good, but I like Lilly being the star of moon and sun. I am not sure I want anyone on her turf. However, if she was a clear background player, as was the case on Profiler with 2 other female characters, that could be ok.
