What haven't the writers tried that you would like to see?
How about an episode where one or more suspects are lying and they show the incorrect flashbacks? I'll let it up to the writers to figure out the rest to make it an ingenious idea.

Or that the victim was really killed by suicide and not homicide. They could have the storylines running in three generations but have four killers but they aren't the ones; it could a three partner with action scenes but focus on the case not on their personal lives. Oh yeah Lilly in every scene would be nice.

Awesome topic, Naj! Here are my ideas: -Something revolving around 9/11 (Philly and NYC are so close, this seems like an easy fit) -A reporter (as the victim) who was working on a big story involving secret sources -Lilly undercover -An unsolvable case (of course, Lil would eventually crack it, but it would take several eps) -Lilly in a healthy relationship I'll post more as I think of them.

Probably too weird, but: An episode where a psychic predicts Future Deaths! The music during the "Flash-Forwards" would be by major artists but would be ALL NEW music. So it would be like "Flashing forward" to 2010 or something, using music that we've never heard before. CBS could release all the music as an album/soundtrack in conjuction with the ep (like how movie soundtracks are released.) Oh yeah, and Lilly in a girl-girl relationship

Nice idea, Naj! --I always thought a good episode could be based on the rave/warehouse party scene of the late-80' to early-90's, especially considering how the drug ecstacy gained popularity in that period. Probably the first time I've heard techno used in a primetime television show was in *this scene* from "My So-Called Life". I thought the two techno/house songs used in the clip--Sunscreem's "Pressure" and Haddaway's "What is Love?"--were incredibly great choices for one of the series' most climactic scenes. Techno is not simply synthesizers and drum machines; A Cold Case episode featuring this kind of music could choose from many different songs to capture the right mood, especially since there's lot's of great techno/dance music that crossovered from clubs into mainstream music. --Philly is supposed to be a favorite city to hold family reunions, especially among African-Americans. Whenever I hear Jill Scott's "Family Reunion", I always find myself thinking this song could open a really tragic, heart-wrenching Cold Case episode.... -Something revolving around 9/11 (Philly and NYC are so close, this seems like an easy fit) And don't forget that the other planes came down in DC and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Philly was pretty much right in the center of all four planes. Did you see last night's Criminal Minds?? They had a case similar to this idea... And it took place in Philly! A good idea! Umm... I'm sure this will probably air after the "Pigs flying" episode.... ;D Oh yeah, and Lilly in a girl-girl relationship I'd be happy if they create a "Lilly goes undercover as an Eagle's cheerleader" episode. And how about a "Lilly falls in love with the guy that used to live in Philly but now lives in Upper Darby" episode??? ;D

Or more specifically "Lilly Does London" where she meets a funny Englishman and stays forever to raise Lillettes. ;D

CC is clearly grounded in reality. Whereas that is soooo far out there as to be ludicrous. Why make up lies like that? ;D
Back on topic. I'm sure it's been said before (possibly even by me somewhere, and I'm sure the subject of fanfics galore), but what about a case involving Lilly's father? Perhaps all the evidence could point to Mr Rush being involved, so Lilly is keen to track him down, and then it turns out to be someone else. Or Scotty's Elisa being a CC. I'm not much of an idea's man, or at least nothing I can print here

How about the a killer tricking the squad and sending them down four different paths until they find the real person; oh yeah it also tests the friendship of Lilly and Scotty

Here be the episodes I'd want to see. (and I keep them as short as possible.)
1. An episode/case centered around the metal scene of Philadelphia. They've already had one centered around Country music, one centered on dancing, one centered on disco music, one centered on old time rock and roll. I believe it's high time they did an episode centered on either the metal scene, or the hardcore scene.
2. An episode based around the serial rapist and two time killer Gary M. Heidnik. The detectives could find the remains of a woman who had gone missing since the year before the case takes place. Then they find out that more women are missing and track them down to the same location.
