Whoopsie...I was trying to reply to the quote in my last post and hit reply by accident.

I can't tell you a specific decision made because of fan feedback - apparently the eavesdropping devices I placed at Meredith's and Les Moonves' places weren't on that day (that is a JOKE, kids). But I do know that, in general, the show producers and CBS are both sensitive to fans' desires and keep tabs on sites like this one, at least informally. The traditional rule of thumb is that a handwritten letter is equivalent to a thousand viewers. I don't know if emails are weighted as heavily, but the principle is the same.

So my whole point of posting this yesterday is to see if anyone here is writing to let your desires known just what it is you wish to see more of for the show. I'm considering a letter just to make sure Veena et al get my 1,000 votes for what I'd like.

I did send off a couple of letters to Veena (as well as to Liz Garcia and Andrea Newman) expressing my thanks a) for their work; b) the introduction of the Joseph character; c) the hope they will continue to pursue the storyline beyond a handful of early episodes.

I did not really go the Les Moonves, etc., route as I wanted to write to the people who run the show (and come up with the scripts that I enjoy the most) week in/week out.

All were sent c/o the 4000 Warner Blvd. address.

I only sent my letter(s) a couple of weeks ago, so I am not too far ahead. I was inspired by reading some of Kenneth Johnson's posts over on his official message board. Without being overly spolierish, it seems he would very much like to continue on in the Joseph role.

And, given what InsideR said in her post, it seems they appreciate hearing from folks no matter what time of year it is.

I wrote a letter to Veena congratulating her on her promotion and also telling her how much I loved the "Mindhunter" episode.

I included a 9x12 SASE (folded and stuffed into the #10 envelope with my letter) and I got back a nice note and an 8x10 photo of the cast signed in silver pen.

The turnaround was amazingly fast -- I sent it on September 13th and I got it back a week later on the 20th!!!
