I myself would die if they made it a cliffhanger--but I really don't see how they could do it any other way. It's just too easy for them and would keep us on our toes and longing for next season all summer (er, winter for me).

I voted no because I don't want a big cliffhanger (something like is Lilly dead or alive) but I can take smaller cliffhangers (like will Scotty and Chris still be together next season).

Argh, but what if the last shot is of Lilly handcuffed to a tree trunk all disheveled and bleeding? I don't think I could take that image in my mind for months... even knowing it would be suicidal for the show to kill her off. :faint:

My gut feeling is that we will have a cliff-hanger this season but that trick is so old. Every show does it and Cold Case prides itself on originality, in my opinion, and I think whatever case there is in the Season finale should be solved by the end of that episode.

I'm gonna vote for a cliffhanger whether it's large or medium or small. In light of the title of the season finale (posted over in the Spoilers Forum) my mind is racing as to who will be involved in that ep and what will transpire since we have no details as of yet.

I say no, ,mainly because I can't take the suspense. I've always had the feeling that the writers were gonna put Lil in some serious danger with a potential suspect (like Rick the A.A. sponsor who hit on her), mainly because she's a pretty face in a sea of tough guy detectives. I think eventually some scumbag is likely to cross the line. I'd hate to see it, but I could see Lil giving a serious *$%##-kicking too.

I would like to see a cliffhanger, but done in an original way. The whole cliffhanger idea is very over used and almost a given for most shows. Cold Case managed to leave us hanging last season without delving into the usual cliffhanger waters. I liked the way they did that, and I'd like to see it done again.

Actually that's one of the things I love about Cold Case. It never goes exactly "by the book". The characters and storylines are all little different from other series... They're not using the same little tricks and plot devices. Hope they keep on surprising us pleasantly.
