As I've often said, the music really enforces the emotional strength of each episode. Without it, Cold Case would just blend into all the other crime shows on TV today.

As far as I can tell, they have decreased the music this year. Last year each ep ran about 10-11 songs. This year, it's about 6-8, I think. Evidently the ending has become a trademark of the show so I doubt that will stop. I guess those little mini videos could make a nice Cold Case Collection of each episode. Maybe we could create a spot here for them if someone wants to save each eps ending music video and we could post them in a separate forum just for that. Fans could download them to view. Or if irishkale already has them on his site we could list a link for each ep or something....  |

I said to have the music continue as it is. I think that they should include a song with each flashback (as they have been). It has become the show's trademark, so I can't imagine it without it.

I'm gonna vote on my own poll.  I would love for them to keep the music the way it is... but I don't see how they can. It must be so very expensive to have a song for each flashback, they'll probably have to cut down on them sometime  . As they already have... |

... I VOTED NO MUSIC... ..for at least one episode. Maybe they investigate a Cold Case that leads them to Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Lilly and the boys hang out with the Amish so there's no modern music at all in the episode.  |

I like it, too--it's such an awesome idea, it would drive everyone out of their minds! I would only like it for one ep, though, especially one regarding the subject you mention. Wouldn't want them to make it an everyday thing. Maybe you should make a hint of it to InsideR, Irishkale. I don't suppose R has the ultimate power to make it happen, but you never know...

I was just trying to think of a case where they would have no music... actually before Mindhunters aired, InsideR said that it would break some CC rules, and I figured one of them would be a totally music-less episode. I'd also like to see an episode where all the music is elevator music. Like someone is killed in an elevator, so all the flashbacks take place in the elevator. So, all the music is elevator versions of like 80's hits or something... |

You know what could be an ep with no music at all? If a deaf person were killed. It's a little obvious--but it would work, don't you think?
