ETA: Oops I totally posted this in the wrong forum! Thought I was in General! Sorry! Please move it! TVfan, you will appreciate and understand this rant. So I was in Penn Station today, and at first I saw a Close to Home billboard near the subway, then as I walked into the main part of Penn near the LIRR, I am bombarded with CBS billboards and banners. They were EVERYWHERE! On the walls, hanging from the ceilings, covering pretty much every inch of the place! The next one I saw was one for Jennifer Love Hewitt's new show, so I figured it was just for their new shows, but then I saw one for CSI and CSI Miami. Then one for Without A Trace. So naturally I start frantically looking for the Cold Case one. I mean it had to be somewhere. Every single drama on CBS had their own billboard or banner. CSI NY, Criminal Minds, Threshold, EVEN NCIS for God's sake! I looked and looked and there wasn't a Cold Case sign in sight. And some of those shows had multiple ones! I don't get it! What does CBS have against Cold Case? And who can I write or call to complain about this! LOL! ~Vicky~

Hi sjb! Yes, you can just copy your text and post this on the Rants thread in Off Topic. I'm going to lock the thread. Once you have reposted it in Off Topic then I will delete this post. ~Naj

On second thought after looking at this again this morning, I'm going to move this thread to General Discussion because it is about the series.

I replied over in Rnats too, but I just want to say that this is so typical CBS, and yet it still makes me mad! Their constant lack of promotion drives me crazy. I can't believe they had all those other shows, and not Cold Case.

Yes, it's kind of disturbing. You would think they would give all of their shows equal promotion. :smile10:

Yes, it's kind of disturbing. You would think they would give all of their shows equal promotion. Well no matter what network you are dealing with, there will always be a couple of shows that receive more promotion and hype than others. I can deal with that, and I can deal with Cold Case not being one of those shows. I just don't get why they wouldn't promote Cold Case at ALL. If I didn't see a sign for every other damn drama on CBS, I wouldn't have cared. ~Vicky~

Here where I live, the tv channel that airs CC is annoucing to November the new seasons of ALL the others series (WaT, ER...), except Cold Case I'm not even sure if 3rd season will be airing around here...

:smile44: OMG!!! That would suck!! I watch CC on the same channel as you... WB right??? I never doubted they'd show the 3rd season. If they don't, I'll just... well, I don't know what I'll do. But it won't be pretty. :smile82:
You're right, though. They haven't announced it...

Calm down, girls... I don't think we have anything to be worried about. I haven't watched anything on WB now during the reruns, so I can't give my opinion about the commercials, but still... it's very rare for a cable channel to kick a show off its schedule like this. And CC is a show that has good ratings, once I read an article that said that it won its timeslot among the cable channels (OK - that was still during the old Friday timeslot, but I don't think it changed).

It's not surprising it's getting snubbed at the Emmy's then either if it's not getting enough publicity and hype.

But since I haven't seen any commercials, I'm starting to be worried... I don't know what I'm gonna do if they replace CC :smile29: I don't even want to think about it... Well, we'll have to wait and see...

Awww, sjb. Don't take it so hard. Though I really appreciate the sentiment. CC will rock CBS this season anyway! In spite of their lack of promotion.

I hope so disasterfreak, its season 3 now so its about time CBS paid the show some more attention. I think we will soon be able to tell after the first couple of episodes whether it has increased in popularity. I think if viewer numbers increase only then will they perhaps promote the show more??? Who knows. We don't get any of that here anyway. I just hope SKY TV are going to show the third season!!!

I was just looking through the ratings thread and CC's rating increased steadily from season 1 to 2. It began at 13 million viewers and season 2 had an average of 16.5 million (though for some reason The Woods fared a little worse--only 14 million, where was everyone?? It was only like the best episode ever, almost :smile80:). So I see no reason why this trend shouldn't keep up this year, unless the writers mess up scandalously. CC viewers seem to be a pretty loyal group (I know we are :smile42: ).
