Schadenfreude . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . So Scotty drinks and smokes and, evidently, I think he tongued Chrissy there in the bar. That was a bit much for me.

That scene surprised me as well Naj. He apparently really likes her. During their game of "I Never," I was surprised to hear just how much he likes her (he missed his stop thinking about her). I'm guessing we haven't heard the last of them.

That scene really made me lose respect for each of them. It was innapropriate, in my opinion, to show them smoking, getting drunk and making out like that.

Yea, they've lowered the bar for the characters this season. Even now I'm looking at Lilly with less respect. Of course we don't know about her past. Maybe she was strung out, herself, on heroin or whatever for a time. These evidently aren't pretty characters .... It's totally taking me by surprise but let's hope it doesn't get too trashy. ~Naj

It was definitely surprising the way they showed Scotty and Chris... but I don't think it debased the characters themselves.
It provided some balance to the scene earlier when Stillman offers Scotty the card of the grief counsellor. Scotty refused help but now with the two scenes of him drinking, we can see he's in denial, and probably on a long slide downward.
Now I'm wondering... Is Christina bad for him? I thought it was a step forward that she moved out of his place (two episodes ago?). She seemed to be intelligent in realizing that they each needed some alone time to deal with their issues. Now it looks like her job at the bar is dragging him into alcoholism.
I like Christina, and I hope the warnings from Lilly in the early episodes aren't going to come true!

I was just really caught by them downing the hard liquor like it was nothing. I don't think that Chris is good for him because of the alcohol and possibly the missing link as to why Lilliy didn't want those two together in the first place to the point where Lilly is so 'ugly' about it making herself appear distainful.[/quote] I'm kinda forgetting her exact warning. That's she's no good for Scotty? She's trouble? ~Naj

She's a train wreck! I've lost a bit of respect for Scotty-firstly because now that he knows what Chris did to Lil's fiance and lied about it and because he's downing the shots after hours in a bar like it's Kool-Aid. That being said, he's still in pain over Elissa too. I must say I was pretty shocked by Lil's comment that "whoring the barmaid won't bring your dead girlfriend back". I think she felt bad about it as soon as it left her mouth though. Bad Scotty!

So do we know how many more eps we see Chrissy this season? I'm wondering if they'll fade the story of Scotty/Chrissy or whether Chrissy leaves or the mud comes out and she and Lilly have to face their past demons about each other next.

She was contracted for 9 episodes this season and their is some confusion as to whether she's appeared in 7 or 8 so far. I know she is not in tomorrow's episode and I doubt her whole storyline can be wrapped up in a couple more appearances so perhaps they will bring her back next season.
