Hello Keely! Good point! Well, lilly's definitely lying bout something... hopefully she'll fess up next season! If she doesn't fess up we might have to take some drastic measures on this board! ;D ~Naj

I'm like you Naj. It took me a long time to realize that I needed to pay more attention to the personal details. I can't remember a whole lot from the the pilot. I remember the scene in the parking lot when Lilly stares down the suspect b/c it really impressed me, but that's about it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they rerun the pilot this summer, otherwise I'm going to have to wait until the DVD comes out (wishful thinking ). On an encouraging note, CBS reran the pilot for Without A Trace last summer.

my theory on that is that, when Lilly investigated the current cases (hot cases? ;D) she didn't get as involved as she does now with the cold ones. So, at that point, it would be natural for her to lie, if she needed to do that to get closer to the witness. But now, she wouldn't lie anymore, because she feels a stronger connection to the cases/victims/witnesses.
I hope that's the explanation... we know so little about Lilly, the last thing I want to find out is that it's all lies!

My theory on the "Lilly lies" is that she is telling the truth in her personal moments with Scotty and family members/friends of the victims. She probably fudges when she's interrogating suspects and trying to get them to confess. She's very coy, so it's hard to figure out if she really understands the suspect's plight or if she's just letting him believe that she does. I think most of what we think we know about her is probably true. I guess it's all part of the mystery that makes her so dang fascinating! JMO.

That's a good point TVFan. i have definitely seen Lilly lie when she's interegating a suspect, but i dont remember anything when shes around scotty or kite. i guess we're going to have to pay close attention to those re-runs...

Okay first and foremost...that smiley in the shower is hilarious. Wish list.. 1. I'd like to see the ex-husband come back and see how Lil would handle him (tear him to ribbons, give him a tongue-lashing, etc) 2. I kinda liked in the season finale how she kinda bonded with that guy (can't remember his name, naturally). He clearly struck a nerve with her. And how she seemed drawn to that kid in Maternal Instincts. I find the most poignant moments come when a suspect really touch a cord with her and it tends to have something to do with her past. I'd like to see her really bond with a suspect or victim. 3. I'd really like for her to find a female friend to be all girly with, like her friend Lindsay or maybe even develop a friendship with Alyssa. 4. I'd like to see her past come back...like Mom or her sister.

Im not going to make a list of my own, im just going to kindo of cling to every one elses... So krispy, you up... 1. If lilly has an ex- husband (i believe that it is still up for debate) I would love to see him come back just so lilly can tear him apart. Maybe the reason shes so afraid of relationships is because her first one didnt work out... 2.I also like how lilly kind of bonded with sean in 'maternal instincts' i dont know why, i just do, i wouldnt mind it happening again 3.lilly definitely needs someone to talk to. whether it be a boy, a girl, her cats, a banana, i really dont care. but she needs to get it out. i wouldnt mind another guy realtionship, a friend to be, as you say 'girly' with. 4.And going along with the 'she needs to let it out thing', lilly is definitely hiding something that has to do with her past. i would also like to see a mother, father, sister, whatever. has she mentioned where her father was during her mother's alleged neglegance period?
(ok krispy, im done ;D thanks for throwing out some ideas)

I agree in that Lilly needs to "let it out" what ever her past is. She needs a shoulder to grieve on not just a discussion but in addtion to the discussion. It could be brought out by one or more of her Cold Cases.
And what if her ex is still around and has committed a case that was unsolved in the area. That would be interesting.

Krispy - I second the mom/sister idea. I really want to meet Lilly's mom next season. They gave Scotty the personal storyline with Elisa missing in The Plan, so I think they should give Lilly a personal storyline involving her mom one episode next season. As much as I don't want the show to get too personal, I think that having personal storylines every now and then keeps interest up and helps viewers relate to these characters. Naj - I really like your idea involving the possible "Ex." I hope they clarify this issue next season as well.

I agree they should show Lilly, at least, once with her mother. And find out why sis is always 'missing in action' when it comes time to do errands for mom's meds.

a new wish that just came to my mind...
I wish that CBS will improve CC's official website. That site sucks, there isn't a episode guide or a photo gallery!
Am I asking too much??

They should have more snippets even messages from the cast in video form. Maybe we should all email them and rerquest it. If they keep hearing from us maybe they'll do something about it. ;D ~Naj

Good idea Naj! You would think they would have a little more love for their own show...

I agree! That site is terrible. I know that CBS doesn't do the best job with their sites in general, but come on! I hate the way they NEVER update it either. I can't believe they're paying someone to do that and it's so bad!

1) More characters from Lilly's past . I don't want there to be a person every case (that would be a little silly), but every now and then. I really like the idea of a "mystery man" from her past coming to Lilly to get help solving a old case close to him. Maybe he could be someone she was close to in high school - someone familiar with her past. There's like a million different directions to take on this one. 2) More cases from before 1980. As much as I love reliving the 80s and 90s, it just seems these decades were used a lot last season. I'd like to see some more cases from the 70s, 60s, and beyond. 3) More insight into Lilly. I don't want them to change the bits and pieces method of giving us info, but I would like to learn more about her over the course of the season. 4) A new love interest for Lilly. This one would have to be done carefully though because I wouldn't want them to replay the Lilly/Kite romance minus Kite. It would have to be a totally different type of relationship. 5) I might be in the minority here, but I would like to see one or two cases that aren't solved despite the team's hard efforts. I think it would add to the realism of the show. Plus, it can be a real heartbreak for them to have to deal with not solving it. The characters get very attached to these cases and victims families. It would be interesting to see how a family would respond to the case not being solved a second time. Could make for some powerful episodes. 6) Finally, I would like to see a case that Lilly worked on get re-opened. I think this could add some interesting character dynamics to the show.( Well, TVFan, since we're about 7 episodes into Season 2, I thought I'd see whose Wish Lists were coming true and it seems 4 out of 6 of your's are so far. 1. We are going to meet Lilly's sister in episode "Red Glare," on November 21st and it's been reported she'll be around for at least 6 episodes this season. This should definately show us Lilly's family dynamics and I'm sure her mom can't be far behind. 2. This season we've had "FactoryGirls," "The House," "Daniela," and the upcoming "Red Glare," all take place before 1980. 3. We had a lot of insight into Lilly's past during "The House," delving into her past relationship with someone who apparently was not as good as he seemed. Hopefully CC will delve a little deeper into this past relationship in future eps this season. 4.No new love interest for Lilly yet this season but I'm still hoping for Kite to sweep her off her feet in a future ep but at this point that seems unlikely. 5. I would love to see an ep where they don't end up finding the killer but I don;t see one on the horizon yet though. In real life, not all the Cold Cases that a division takes on can be solved. Some just unfortunatly remain cold forever and I think that if Cold Case had an ep like that it would be interesting to see how each of the cast reacted to not getting the killer. 6. In "The Badlands," we got to see the case Lilly was working on when she joined the Cold Case squad and it was interesting to see her in flashbacks and I'm all for another ep dealing with another case she couldn't solve from her past. Those eps show double the emotion for Lilly because the stakes are higher if it was a homicide she originally worked on and couldn't solve. So 4 out of 6 ain't bad TVFan and we still have many more eps left this season..

Thanks for bumping this up Ryebeach. It's fun to revisit the lists that we made last summer. It's interesting to see how many of our wishes have come true so far. I hope the trend continues. I would be okay with them not finding Lilly another love interest this season. I figure they can save that for future seasons.

I was just looking over this thread, and I noticed something in Tati's wish list: (WARNING: spoilerish for "Mind Hunters, so if you haven't seen it yet and don't want to know anything about that ep, don't read any further):
This wish is pretty dead on from "Mind Hunters." We had a case that the team couldn't solve, and we got some insight into why Lilly became a cop. We know now that it has to do with a 49 report from when she was little.
