A.D.A. would be Assistant District Attorney, i.e., an attorney in the prosecutor's office handling cases unsupervised. (Lara Flynn Boyle's character on "The Practice" is an example.)

Haven't heard of any new regulars for Season 2.
I do believe Meredith Stiehm did say in Entertainment Weekly's fall preview that ADA Kite would be around this season, at least once. Maybe they will introduce some more recurring characters like Detective Gil Sherman from homicide, who was in 3 episodes season 1.
