NBC moves West Wing against CC

This week is the network upfronts when all the big networks announce their fall schedules in hopes of getting big advertiser dollars. NBC was first up, and they announced that they are moving The West Wing to Sunday nights at 8pm. What do you guys think about the move and how it affects Cold Case?

Just saw this TV. I don't know. I'd say CC has some of the same audience as The West Wing so we may lose a few viewers but I think everyone knows The West Wing is on its way out pretty soon and CC is just getting started. In the beginning, they might watch The West Wing to see how the storyline with Jimmy Smits and Alan Alda plays out but I beleive they'll switch right back to CC after a few eps.

I don't know either, Ryebeach. I'm a faithful "overnights" checker. It was winning its timeslot until Alias started back in January. It slipped to 2nd (and sometimes third) for the first month or so of Alias. Then, it shot back up to 1st. BUT, it does not pull in the viewers that Cold Case does. I'm pretty sure (but don't quote me) that it is no longer a Top 20 show. Cold Case consistently pulls in 15 or so million viewers and lands in the Top 20. I think CC will do fine. It's like you said, West Wing is fading out and CC is just getting started.

I agree, it could be a tough spot for a few episodes, but hopefully it wont be a problem. Seems like NBC is making a lot of changes for next season...

NOOOOOO!!!! ahhh that sucks... WW is probably my favorite show! oh well, i'll just have to rely on my TiVo.

I don't watch West Wing. I got my fill of Jimmy Smits on LA LAW and Alan Alda on MASH. :smile22: Of course if NFL football runs late that may affect some tuning into West Wing instead.
