So in Episode 17: The Lost Soul of Herman Lester we find Scotty with Alysia (spelling).
Thought I'd stat this thread hoping we will learn some more before the end of the season.
We know she had some mental breakdown. Is she really a schizophrenic?
What else do we know? Were they together 3 year?

Honestly, I didn't really feel any chemistry between them. I mean, maybe it's because we've only really seen them together twice, but even like the second time Lilly talked to Kite, I could feel the chemistry. I don't feel it much with S & A but maybe it'll just take some time.

Yea, it was difficult to tell from such a short scene that was interrupted. I'm guessing we'll get to see another glimpse of her. Look at how they are dong that with Kite and Lilly, although they do give us a little more on that..... ~Naj

So Alysia and Scotty were together at the end of Greed last night in the bar. Or was that someone else he was with?

S P O I K E R
Tonight's Maternal Instinct ep.....
So it looks like Scotty has talked more to the rest of the workers about Alysia. He and Stillman actually had some discussion about her. If anyone wants to know why I think they discussed it a bit tonight you can find a tid bit in the SPOILERS forum for next week's episode if you dare!

I have to disagree about the chemistry between Scotty and Alysia. I think there is great chemistry there only I wouldn't call it chemistry and I can't think of a good word for it outside of maybe "love". I am just going on the episode where she said there was a giant behind him and he thought she was having problems again. I love the way he is patient with her even though we don't know what the situation is. I miss "Greed" so I don't have that episode to base my opinion on.
What I really like is that they aren't trying to make a couple out of Lily and Scotty, too many shows go that direction.

I love how their relationship brings out a softer side to Valens. It's nice to see writing that brings such great depth to characters. I like the way they show us depth with Scotty as well as Lilly. Even though we haven't seen a lot of Alyssa (sp) yet, she seems like a really interesting character and a really sweet person for Scotty.
peggyk - I 100% agree with you on the Scotty/Lilly thing. I would be so disappointed in the show if they ever went that route. It would ruin the show. I'm sooooo glad that the writers don't have any innuendos between the two. They keep their relationship professional. More recently, we've seen it change to more of a friendship since Lilly and Scotty are getting to know each other better. I like them as friends, but would hate them as anything more.

I agree with the Scotty/Lily thing. It just would NOT work. Anywhays, Scotty and Alyisa(sp.?) and Lily and Kite ;D are perfect to gether, if they break that up, sumone will be really mad....

Last night's episode: The Plan
Well poor Alysia is having problems. She was just released from a hospital one month or so. She and Scotty keep in touch throughout the day by telephone.
I couldn't make out what she had printed on her door mirror. Anyone catch that?
Also Scotty knew Alysia since she was 14 years old. They met in the neighborhood which is where she was at when she went thru her episode.

Hey Naj-
Since I'm doing the recap on this episode, I have it written down. It said "The Giants Came Back." Hope this helps. ;D

The message said "the Giants came back", referring to when she used to play stickball...or maybe they both played. But I think she's Schizophrenic or something. I'm interested to see where it goes. Was that her we see in the end of Greed, when their having the "first Thursdays" out at the bar and Lily is pouring beer for Scotty and Alyssa? Gotta comment on the Scotty/Lily thing- I think it would be so predictable and really disappointing. I think their gonna keep Lily as a strong, professional kinda partner, but still build a friendship with her and Scotty. I also sense a very sister/brother protection thing there in certain shows when a witness is being rude or out of line with Lily, Scotty seems to be protective.

I noticed a lot of people were saying that they broke up? at the closing of the episode. but was it just that scotty was visiting her at her sisters and it was just kind of sad?

Spoiler after seeing Blank Generation . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Oh no. Poor Scotty. They did give him a chunk of the storyline and it was well done. I guess this is how they decided to go since the actress is leaving the show. ~Naj

I thought it was a wonderful storyline. It was expertly written, and they had exactly the right balance of Scotty and the case.

All, I have to say is that it was so sad. It shocked me when I heard it. I thought I was mistaken at first but then they repeated it and I was so shocked. Will Lily's sister make a move on him now?

I thought it was a wonderful storyline. It was expertly written, and they had exactly the right balance of Scotty and the case. My thoughts exactly trublu. It was handled very well and Danny Pino did an excellent job, especially his scene with Stillman. I was moved by it. I was also very shocked that she died. Reading spoilers for this ep, I was assuming she'd attempt suicide but I never imagined she would actually die. It was a shocker.

I was shocked as well. I thought they did a nice job of splitting the episode between the case and Scotty's personal tragedy. I'm so glad they didn't go the Without A Trace route, and dedicate an entire episode to the storyline. Danny Pino did a very nice job.
My only complaint was that I thought they should have had a scene between Lilly and Scotty (other than the brief one in the hall of the police station). She's his partner, and I felt that they needed to have her there as his friend. Other than that, nicely done.

I also thought that they should have done a Lilly and Scotty scene TV, after Stillman told her to lay off for a while though i was skeptical that it would happen. Hopefully when Scotty returns (which i suspect will be the next episode, or at the longest, the episode after that) they will have a nice scene between the two of them.
