NEW YORK In a sea of summer repeats, CBS sailed to another ratings victory last week -- its 12th win in a row.
With the Top 10 flooded with reruns, CBS could claim eight, including the week's most-watched show, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
The week's top non-rerun, Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," waltzed in at No. 11.
CBS' "Big Brother" took 12th and 14th places, respectively, for its Tuesday and Thursday editions, according to Nielsen Media Research.
But the premiere of "Tommy Lee Goes to College," an NBC reality show, missed the dean's list at 54th place.
For the week, CBS remained the most popular network in prime time, averaging 7.8 million viewers (5.3 rating, 9 share). ABC averaged 5.69 million while NBC had 5.68 million, though NBC was ahead in household ratings with 4.1 to ABC's 3.8 (both networks logged a 7 share). Fox had 5.07 million viewers (3.4 rating, 6 share), UPN had 2.7 million (1.8 rating, 3 share), the WB had 1.83 million (1.3 rating, 2 share) and Pax TV had 680,000 viewers (0.5 rating, 1 share).
NBC Nightly News had 8.3 million viewers (6 rating, 13 share), while ABCs World News Tonight averaged 8 million viewers (5.7 rating, 12 share) and CBS Evening News 6.5 million (4.7 rating, 10 share).
A ratings point represents 1,096,000 households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 109.6 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use televisions tuned to a given show.
For the week of Aug. 15-21, the top 10 network shows and viewerships: "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," CBS, 13.02 million; "Without a Trace," CBS, 12.92 million; "60 Minutes," CBS, 10.32 million; "NCIS," CBS, 10 million; "CSI: Miami," CBS, 9.9 million; "Cold Case," CBS, 9.43 million; "Law & Order: SVU," NBC, 9.33 million; "Two and a Half Men" (Monday, 9:30 p.m.), CBS, 9.04 million; "Two and a Half Men" (Monday, 9 p.m.), CBS, 9.02 million; "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," NBC, 8.98 million.
