Oh man, I can't believe I didn't catch this earlier. Look at some of the lyrics again. This song is also breaking the fourth wall by referring to us the viewers.
"And from the ballroom floor We are in celebration One good stretch before our hibernation Our dreams assured and we all Will sleep well
Sleep well"
Yep, I do believe that set of lyrics there is in homage to us the viewers. In the context of the show, the writers are saying, "Relax and enjoy the show, stretch yourselves out with this final show before the summer season (hibernation) comes."

I love Snow Patrol!!!!! One of my favorite bands.....and it's very hard to like modern bands these days because they're either too punk or too emo for my taste, but I love Snow Patrol's songs for some reason. They don't even sound that emo or that punkish....and believe me....i have high standards for music taste =). I love all the oldies(rock and roll)!!!! Mainly that's just one attraction for me as a viewer to love Cold Case. Music can make all the difference in a show.....and boy does this show have reallly good music taste. I especially loved that 1930s episode where they used Swing Music.....I love Swing....boy could people dance back then....now-a-days.....people can't dance like that......

sorry that I'm bugging about this but MCR are one of my favourite bands. MCR are not anywhere near screamo.... anymore. I guess the were close to screamo in their first CD but that was five years ago. If you look at their latest CD it is very pop rock, quite mainstream and a cheap take on the Queen style and attempting the Classic Rock sound. listen to the beggining of MCR's welcome to the black parade and compare it to the beginning of Queen's bohemian rhapsedy.
My take on "emo" is that all music is emo. What I mean by this is emo is slang for emotional and all music envokes some kind of emotion in us, either be it joy or misery. That's all I have to say so I'll back out now.
-backs away slowly-
