. . . to be honest, I don't know the year either. Maybe someone will fill us in before the episode airs?
"Soul Meets Body" or "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" - Death Cab for Cutie "Be Yourself" - Audioslave "In The Rough", "Breathe" or "Bleed" - Anna Nalick "Suffer Well" - Depeche Mode "Animal I Have Become" - Three Days Grace "Where Do We Go From Here?" - Filter "The Kill" - 30 Seconds to Mars "Anthem of our Dying Day" - Story of the Year "Cry" - James Blunt
. . . so, those will be my choices unless someone tells us the year the case is in. Anyone care to add?

Oye, teledetective. I'm so not a fan of James Blunt and hope he isn't singing. I love Anna Nalick!

It is 2006 according to the TV Guide spoiler article. Anyway, here are my picks: When You Were Young - The Killers Is It Any Wonder - Keane Heard the World - O.A.R. Through Glass - Stone Sour It Ends Tonight - All American Rejects (I can see them using this one as the ending song) Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol (or this one ) Crazy - Gnarls Barkley

Oooh Through Glass by Stone Sour. Good choice!
I'm somewhat hoping that they use "Enjoy the Silence" by Lacuna Coil. True it's a cover/remake of the original done by Depeche Mode, but it could work. Another good one might be "Save Me" by Shinedown.
I just hope they don't do a repeat of "KnuckleUp" and use the Fray's "How to Save a Life"

not likely since the producers never repeated the same song. EXCEPT if it's covered by someone else. i.e. Detention - Smashing Pumkin's version of Landslide and FireFlies - Fleetwood Mac's original version.

Mmmm, 2006 music. Now that we're sure . . .
"Undeniable" or "Nothing Left To Lose" - Mat Kearney "Rooftops", "A Town Called Hypocrisy" or "Can't Catch Tomorrow" - The Lostprophets "Nothing In My Way" or "Is It Any Wonder?" - Keane "Waiting On The World To Change" or "Gravity" - John Mayer "If I Were You" - Hoobastank "Saying Sorry" - Hawthorne Heights "Hate Me" or "Into The Ocean" - Blue October "Move Along" - The All American Rejects "A Crow Left of the Murder" or "Megalomaniac" - Incubus "Here It Goes Again" or "A Million Ways" - OK Go "Savin' Me", "Far Away" or "If Everyone Cared" - Nickelback (the last could be a possible ending song, IMO) "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing" - Jack Johnson "Disappearing World" - David Grey "Boston" - Augustana
And then I'll take all of my choices last post except for the James Blunt one . . . ^^;
"Soul Meets Body" or "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" - Death Cab for Cutie "Be Yourself" - Audioslave "In The Rough", "Breathe" or "Bleed" - Anna Nalick "Suffer Well" - Depeche Mode "Animal I Have Become" - Three Days Grace "Where Do We Go From Here?" - Filter "The Kill" - 30 Seconds to Mars "Anthem of our Dying Day" - Story of the Year
EDIT: Adding four more song choices to my guess list.
"Chasing Cars" or "Open Your Eyes" - Snow Patrol "Steady As She Goes" - The Raconteurs "Story of My Life" - Smash Mouth

emo songs. I knew it. Take it your not a fan I can't say I am particularly but I heard Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars for the first time a while back and really liked it. You can't argue with the sentiment. I can see it coming up in quite a few soundtracks.

Not exactly, and plus I've started to notice a trend. It seems that no matter what the case is, if it occurs in the "naughts/00s" then they'll play the hit songs of today, which happen to be emo songs. The case could be about a 50 year old hotdog vendor that was ran over and they'd still play something like Dashboard confessional.
Now the cases from the 80s and 90s (except "Stand Up and Holler" that ep had the worst music imo.) have the best music in my opinion. Of course alot of my favorite albums are from the 80s and 90s.

. . . you know what, I've noticed something. Several of the cases this season (not counting the three one-artist eps) had two songs that were done by the same artist. Here, look:
The War At Home (4-02): Snow Patrol Sandhogs (4-03): Louis Armstrong Static (4-06): Gene Vincent Blackout (4-13): Collective Soul The Goodbye Room (4-16): The Supremes Shuffle, Ball, Change (4-17): Chaka Khan A Dollar, A Dream (4-18): the one who's name we shall not say McLachlan Stand Up And Holler (4-20): Toad The Wet Sprocket Torn (4-21): Sophie Tucker Cargo (4-22): The Stereophonics Stalker (4-24): Snow Patrol
Also, the music people seem to like Coldplay and Snow Patrol; the bands have had 3 and 4 songs, respectively, played this season. Anyone else notice any other trends I didn't mention?

emo songs. I knew it. No offence, but are any of those songs emo? I would hardly call Jet, Coldplay, Snow Patrol emo. If they're emo what does that make My Chemical Romance?? suicidal??

Alright, alright. Adult contemporary emo. I classify My Chemical Romance as screamo. Hmm I have to admit that the ending song lyrical wise did fit with the episode. We watch the season pull up its own stakes And catch the last weekend of the last week Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced, Another sun soaked season fades away
You have stolen my heart
Invitation only, grant farewells Crash the best one, of the best ones Clear liquor and cloudy eyed, too early to say goodnight
You have stolen my heart
And from the ballroom floor we are in celebration One good stretch before our hibernation Our dreams assured and we all, will sleep well
You have stolen You have stolen my heart
I watch you spin around in the highest heels You are the best one, of the best ones We all look like we feel
You have stolen my You have stolen my heart.

My chemical romance is def emo!! Death cab is more indie (love them! Title and registration is an amazing song) and snow patrol is sad pop bordering on emo but they're not quite suicidal enough. Uh, so yeah, there's my opinion on the matter. A friend of mine on myspace has a good emo saying "I wish my lawn was emo, then it'd cut itself." Hee.

Call me crazy, but I don't consider emo to be suicidal at all. That honor goes to one man black metal projects like Xasthur, and 1,907 others. Give or take

Yeah I wouldn't say emo is suicidal... Just angsty. Meanwhile I love that they used snowpatrol's 'open your eyes' but it just didn't top the way ER used it in their last season finale. That was seriously an amazing music moment. This ep felt like it was missing something musically. I mean joseph was awesome musically, but this ep fell a little short to me.

I think it was a bit too bouncy and predictable.
