I'm writing a CC story and am stuck as to a good song to include at the end. Can anyone offer any suggestions? (That aren't taken already, of course).
It should be something no later than 1966 (or at most 3 years earlier). And remember that end songs on the show generally aren't too up-tempo.

Hi toddsmitts, Here are a few. You can get the lyrics by doing a google and see if any fit your story: The End Of The World - Skeeter Davis (1963) Town Without Pity - Gene Pitney (1962) Stand By Me - Ben E. King (1961) Where The Boys Are - Connie Francis (1961) I Fall to Pieces - Patsy Cline (1961)

Thanks for your efforts, Naj "The End of the World" came pretty close. It's a good melody but unltimately I thought the lyrics were a bit of a downer given the ending I was going for. The rest I think might be just a bit old for a 1966 case. The biggest gap that I know of on the show between case and song is 3 years ("Superstar" took place in 1973 but ended with Elton John's "Your Song" which was released in 1970). I have missed quite a few earlier episodes so if there's a bigger gap anywhere, let me know. Again, thanks a lot Naj, and if you can think of any others, let me know.
