Wow, we're getting a jump start on this Naj. My guesses are: "Careless Whisper," by Wham! "Take On Me," by A-Ha "Don't You (Forget About Me)," by Simple Minds "St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)," by John Parr "One Night In Bangkok," by Murray Head "Head Over Heels," by Tears For Fears "Summer Of '69," Bryan Adams (doubt they'd use this one but I love it, so I'm hoping they will  ) "Born In The USA," by Bruce Springsteen

From the episode description in the episodes forum: And from the write-up that TV Guide did a few weeks ago from the news forum: It sounds like this might be the episode that uses the Mellancamp soundtrack. What do you guys think? If either of you knows better (since I don't read the spoilers section) please feel free to tell me I'm wrong. I promise it won't hurt my feelings.

Well, Naj, we've got our guesses here either way. ;D
If this is the all Mellancamp episode, I'll go with:
"Hurts so Good"
"Jack and Diane"
"Small Town"
"Do you believe in Magic"

It's funny the three of us can't even fully agree on the song selection even when it is narrowed down to one particular artist. foujylos.notlong.com [/IMG] ;D ~Naj

Good evening everyone, Hey, I'm responding to this thread on Naj's suggestion earlier (Thanks for the invite, Naj!). When looking at this question and the upcoming episode, I am just wondering from what era of Mellencamp that music will be provided. His music spreads across three decades, but the storyline is in 1985. In the previews for next week's episode, I heard "Walk Tall" in the background. That is a fairly recent song by Mellencamp, and I am curious if that one will be aired. However, my picks for Mellencamp's music are: "Cherry Bomb" "Paper in Fire" "Ain't Even Done With the Night" "Scarecrow" "(When the Walls Come) Tumblin Down" Hopefully there will be a few of these in the upcoming episode next week. Thanks, and take care tonight.

Good evening everyone, Well, it seems that my picks for tonight's music were not very successful. Only one of them was included (and I had the incorrect title as well, it's "Crumblin' Down), but I certainly enjoyed it. Mellencamp is a great musician, and he has a lot of hits, I guess I just picked the wrong songs. I wonder what next week will be like as far as music goes. Do you think it will be all "Rocky Horror Picture Show", or other music from the 70s? If it's other, hopefully I can put in some votes for that. Take care, and have a great night, everyone!

I thought "Small Town" was definately appropriate for the closing song in this episode. The lyrics along with the visuals used made for one of the best closing montages in recent memory.

Hi byrdman and Ryebeach.
I only had one song on my guess list that made it too. That's okay. Some of the songs I didn't know, though.
Next week is going to be really neat. I'm sure we'll hear some "Time Warp". :spin:
