I'd love it if they used that song Ryebeach. It's a fav of mine from a ways back. I bought the CD just to have the song, but the rest of the CD ended up being really good too. Bonus!

closing song guesses: Fields of Gold - Sting or Ordinary World (but didn't they use that before?) Gee I don't know where I was in 1993 but I don't remember many of those songs! I think I do remember How Do You Talk To an Angel? Maybe that would be a closing song? As far as the other songs I have no guesses. So I'll just wait and see what they come out with. ;D ~Naj

So there were two Natalie Merchant songs? Talk to Me and These Are The Days. Fear by the one who's name we shall not say McClaughlin.
Any more guesses?

Does anyone know who did the song at the end "Somewhere over the Rainbow"?? I know I have heard it before.
It was a great show and it is sad to see how the system let Colin and Mom down!!
Thanks

Thanks Hello and welcome to the board BelieveMore That song is entitled "Somewhere over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World," by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole. It was a perfect closing song and contributed to a few tears on my part.

That is my favorite version of the song. I think it probably was suppose to be sang that way. The singer was a very famous hawaiian singer who died a few years ago at a very young age. In Hawaii he was idolized like the Beatles. TEXTTEXT

Thanks for such a great topic as the tunes played on the show. I've watched it since it started and decided that tonight I needed to find information about the closing track of the show. Hey, I'm not always a sensitive guy but tonight was an especially touching episode. Yep, more than a few tear came to my eyes and sorrow to my heart. We all need to be thankful everyday we're alive. I also wished some serious ill feeling for the ones that beat up on Colin.
So I'm wondering if someone has made a CD complilation of the songs by show. Heck, I'd certainly pay whatever royalties were involved.
Once again, special thanks for the "Somewhere over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World," by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole information. Now if only I can find the song for download......

What are the names of the rest of the songs? There was one they played near the end, that I had heard years ago and was never able to find out what it was back then, and still can't today. It had a female vocalist, and they played it about 10-15 minutes before the end.

I found the song on itunes and it was my first purchase. Heck, for $.99 I'll enjoy it for a long time to come. Armstrong did a great job of it too, but this was the best Nope, I'm not an I tune commercial!!!!!! I'll have to run through the show again tomorrow to see what was played. My wife made me get TIVO and since it's here, I've turned into a junkie with it. I don't miss Cold Case, ever

I haven't been able to figure out the name of that song yet but I have heard it before. I'll keep working on it.

Welcome everyone!
There's a song and I think it's called "Close Your Eyes". Everytime I hear it I think it's Concrete Blonde but I know it's not them (their big hit was 'Joey) I'm curious to find out too.
