I'm curious what people think of the musical underscore (the instrumental music that isn't the songs). Do you think it helps the mood of the show? Are there bits you recognize from one week to the next?

The background instrumental music is awesome on this series. It really sets the tone for each individual scene in which it is used. A lot of it sounds the same ep to ep although I'm not positive that it is.

I also like the musical score to CC. I think it helps reinforce the setting, mood, and cases. The piece of music that sticks out from ep to ep was the music they would use when Kite and Lilly had "romantic" scenes together. I haven't heard it since last season (which makes sense considering she and Kite are no longer an item), but I definitely used to recognize it from ep to ep.
