@, I know this is an off topic thread, but I didn't know any other place to put it since it's not actually having to DO with Cold Case. But move if needed.  This movie, The Other Boleyn Girl, is coming out soon, and I just saw the preview for it, and guess what song began to play...well, duh, look @ the title of this thread, ;D, the CC theme song, "Nara"!!!! I was like WTF. (Thanks to pealee for pointing this out to me) I thought it was good enough info to share, whether anyone wants to know or not. ***another instance where I heard Nara, was about 1 year ago I watched a video on Rosa Parks, and it was the song in the background! My mouth dropped open @ that instant and I wanted to scream so bad, but I couldn't since everyone woulda thought I was hurt or something  Info about the movie, if anyone is confused or interested: (from IMDB.com) Two sisters contend for the affection of King Henry VIIIThe 2 sisters are played by Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman |

I'm totally there with you. I hadn't seen it for a while until once today and I thought I was gonna completely nut up. I get so incredibly tiffed now when that certain trailer comes on with the song (cause there is another preview that it's not on). I want to turn the channel SO bad, but it's like I can't not hear "my song"! It's just all TOO TWISTED. |

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why the song being used in this movie is a bad thing. Is it original? If it is I guess that is a little sad, but whoever it belongs to gets money for it, so it can't be all that bad, can it?  Btw, could someone tell me who the composer is? I feel really dumb for not knowing this already, but yeah. |

LOL Of course can be quite annoying to hear a (fave) song suddenly in a total different conntext. As far as I know they use it only for the tv-spots, not the first time they use a song by E.S. Posthumus for such a thing (and think I've heard especially Nara been used before, but can't remember for what). The official trailer has other music and I'm quite sure, the movie as well. |

They didn't do the scream right? Then it's fine with me. Cold Case still has something special in it ;D My Mum always does the scream. It's horrible  |

it just upset me b/c not enough attn gets drawn to CC, and one of the original and awesome things about it just felt like, to me, it seemed to get a little ripped off, if that makes any sense @ all. (notice I said ONE OF) diff ppl deal with stuff differently. This is just one of those things that I don't like ppl messing with. It just affects my obsession I guess  ;D ;D |

I don't think they're using the same song in Australian promos... Well I haven't heard it, but haven't seen the film short, only the ad on TV. I think they should've used Pompeii by ES Posthumus instead.
Has anyone else got their unearthed cd? Nara is on it. Amazing album.

No, that does make sense. It's kinda sad to see someone get successful with something you were trying first. I get it. Jambled, I've got Pompeii on right now. I like that one too. Maybe I'll look into their other stuff. |
