Good day everyone, Hello, I hope that everyone is doing well, and that you all are enjoying another great Sunday.  I remember that someone posted something earlier this year about NBC moving "The West Wing" to its Sunday lineup, and they were wondering what effect it would have on Cold Case. It is a shame that TV shows that were once so popular klinda go down the tubes like this. I hope cold Case has great sucess right til the very end!

It is a bummer about The West Wing because NBC really mishandled the show this season. They moved it to Sunday night in an extremely competitive timeslot and they knew that the show could not continue in that slot next season because they purchased Sunday Night Football from ESPN. It wasn't the kindest way to treat a show that has been on the air for 7 years and won mulitple Emmys, a Peabody, Golden Globe, and Critic's Choice awards IMO. I used to watch the show in its early years, but I haven't watch it consistently in a long time. The network is doing the same thing to Law & Order. It announced at its Winter Press Tour Sunday that Law & Order will move to 9 p.m. Wednesdays upagainst Lost and Criminal Minds to make way for a new show. Crazy!

I loved "The West Wing". I'm so sad it's finished.  Over here, they mishandled it too. It went from one network to another, they changed timeslots & didn't really seem to care about it. Then they skipped a couple of years, and people who'd watched from the beginning (like me) had no clue why characters had changed jobs etc. It was really confusing for awhile. When I saw the final episode here recently, I was sad again. I thought there would be more flashbacks but there were none This is definitely one show I'm getting on dvd (if only to catch up on what we missed). |
