lol, im going through my cold case tapes and halfway through there is a program my dad made me tape - 'The Real Middle Earth'
its got all this stuff like the jewlers where the one ring was made, locations, interveiws with Peter Jackson, the guys who catered for the actors, some of the extras (some of them work as tourguides)
some of the things i remembered
Isenguard was filmed in 3 different places, 4 if you count the model made in weta workshop
some of the Rohan riders in one of the battle scenes were women dressed up as men, because it was lambing time and they couldnt get the men
lol- one of the costumes (chainmail) was delicate so they had to fly in a special armchair for the actor to sit on, otherwise the costume would rip, so they had this helicopter with an armchair dangling from it up in the middle of nowhere, i would have loved to see that! i also would have loved to be sitting on the chair at the time! ;D
plus its so cool seeing the countryside as it is ;D, they got awesome shots
oooh its finnished
... oh well, Sherry darlin' is on now
