Battlestar Galactica

Just curious, are there any Battlestar Galactica fans out there?

I recently started watching that show and was truly impressed from the first episode I saw. Now I'm totally hooked. It's a gritty, character-driven military drama that happens to take place in space. You don't have to be a sci-fi fan or even like sci-fi to enjoy this show. I think it's one of the best series on television.

I loved the old series and the new one is really good, too.
Can't wait till they show it finally in Germany. Right now I only can watch it while I am on vacation and that sucks.

What night is this on? I may give it a go because I saw the movie? rerun on NBC a month or two ago and thought it was good. Also Lucy Lawless is appearing in one episode this season. I think it's ep # 6.

Yes, akaduck, nice to see you back indeed. Can't you get the UK version of Season 1 on DVD in Germany? It just got released a few weeks ago.

Naj, I was going to tell you that Lucy Lawless will be on, but I figured you knew that already. That ep with Lucy will air on Friday, 9 Sep at 10 p.m. on the Sci Fi channel. They may make her a regular on the show, which would be awesome. I was a huge Xena fan, too, and I miss seeing her on a regular basis.

One of my friends is going to give me the whole show when I am back home. But yes, I can get the UK version of the season, maybe I am doing it.

I saw it, of course, and thought the episode was great. It was different than the other eps, but if this was your first time watching then it was a good ep to watch since they introduced you to most of the major characters. I wish more people would give this show a chance. This is great television!

Oh, and I thought Lucy looked pretty darn good with blonde hair.

I saw the first 30 minutes of it and then went to bed. I wasn't able to get into it. Did she sign on for future episodes? The ep reminded me of YAT. How did it end?

I liked it with Lucy in it ;D I think she looked great and did a great job As for the show itself, I'm still trying to figure it out I loved the surprising ending with Lucy... Wow! she's one of those

Hi Naj, sorry you weren't able to get into the show. It's always difficult to start mid-season, especially in a show like BSG where all episodes are interconnected. I can imagine it was confusing. I had to do a lot of reading on the internet before I was able to get caught up.

Lucy's character did the report on the crew and the Commander and President liked it and decided to broadcast it to the entire remaining fleet. In the end, it turned out Lucy was a Cylon (=bad guy). The producers do plan on bringing her back, especially with that surprise ending.

I totally agree with you V. I already got excited when I read about it, when I saw the mini series I was impressed. It's a great show. :smile39:

Okay, so I finished watching this. I still wasn't able to get into it. I liked her much better in Locusts! Although Lucy did have a meaty role in this episode. I think what I'm missing is seeing Lucy involved in a really good drama. So she may be back for more eps? Interesting.

The newest episode was just amazing. This show is dark, but this was a dark episode even for this show. And it was great, impressive acting and directing. Standing ovation.

This is killing me, the suspense, having to wait a week till next episode. Start to consider to tape them and watch it all on one day.
