Known as a JAG spinoff, this show premiered in 2003, dealing with the "Naval Criminal Investigative Service", showing the work of federal agents investigating any crimes related to the Navy and the Marines. What stands out for me in this show is the amazing chemistry between the cast and the great humor. Season 2 had a very shocking ending... leaving viewers disappointed but at the same time with great expectations for season 3.
Now, after this great explanation ;D I expect that someone else also watches it....

I don't know, Eurache. I've read a few spoilers and honestly I'm not really confident in the future of NCIS... I'm glad I still have season 2 to watch (we're very behind here)...

Here's the description for the 3rd season premiere: (source: Air Date: 9/20/05 (TUESDAY) Time Slot: 8:00 PM-9:00 PM EST on CBS Episode Title: "Kill Ari (Part 1)" THE NCIS TEAM REELS IN THE AFTERMATH OF KATE'S MURDER AS GIBBS VOWS TO AVENGE HER DEATH AND FINALLY GET ARI, ON THE THIRD SEASON PREMIERE OF "NCIS," TUESDAY, SEPT. 20 Cote de Pablo ("The Street") Joins the Cast as a Series Regular Lauren Holly ("Chicago Hope") Joins in a Recurring Role "Kill Ari (Part 1)" -- While the NCIS team deals with Kate's death, Gibbs' determination to finally put an end to Ari's (guest star Rudolf Martin) reign of terror mounts, on the third season premiere of NCIS, Tuesday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Dennis Smith directed the episode from a script by the series' executive producer Donald P. Bellisario. Lauren Holly ("Chicago Hope") joins the cast as the new Director of NCIS who has a romantic history with Gibbs. Cote de Pablo ("The Street") joins as a new NCIS agent that spars with Tony. Though he has no concrete evidence that the sniper was Ari, Gibbs is haunted by the thought that the bullet that killed Kate was meant for him. As the team works to collect all the evidence they can in an effort to stop Ari, each of them is forced to confront their emotions about Kate's violent death. Meanwhile, the director of NCIS informs Gibbs he will be leaving to take on a new position and introduces him to his new boss, Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly), a woman with whom Gibbs has a sordid past. NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is more than just an action drama. With liberal doses of humor, it's a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team forced to work together in high-stress situations. Leading this troupe of colorful personalities is NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a former Marine gunnery sergeant, whose skills as an investigator are unmatched. Gibbs is a man of few words who only needs a look to explain it all. Working under Gibbs is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, an ex-homicide detective who may come off as the world's oldest frat boy, but whose instincts in the field are unparalleled. Joining them are forensic specialist Abby Sciuto, a talented scientist whose dark wit matches her Goth style and eclectic tastes, and NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee, an MIT graduate whose brilliance with computers far overshadows his insecurities in the field. Assisting the team is medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard, who knows it all because he's seen it all, and he's not afraid to let you know. Internally, the NCIS team will have to band together and recover after suffering the devastating loss of Special Agent Kate Todd at the hands of a terrorist. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties. NCIS is produced by Belisarius Productions, in association with Paramount Network Television. Donald P. Bellisario is the executive producer. Charles F. Johnson, Mark Horowitz and John Kelley are co-executive producers. NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs: Mark Harmon NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo: Michael Weatherly Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard: David McCallum Abby Sciuto: Pauley Perrette NCIS Agent Timothy McGee: Sean Murray Ziva David: Cote de Pablo NCIS Special Agent Caitlin Todd: Sasha Alexander NCIS Director Jenny Shepard: Lauren Holly Ari Haswari: Rudolf Martin NCIS Director Tom Morrow: Alan Dale Gerald Jackson: Pancho Demmings Virginia State Police Officer: Sasha Maxime Mossad Agent: A. For me, the highlight of the show was what those two were going to be bickering about next. Anyway, It's not going to be the same!!!! I also wonder why Sasha's character was killed off.

wow It seems they are trying to bring in woman agents to replace Kate!! for sure I thought they had lost another woman agent, but what a surprising ending that she was still alive, this other agent.. I wish they showed how she defeated this sicko I bet it would have been a cool fight And the serial killer was no longer feeling cockey now that Gibbs had the upper hand ;D I thought for sure it was the writer that was trying to be a copy cat of the serial killer, but it was a shock as who it was... Serial killer's lawyer I'm glad that agent was able to kick his butt.. ;D even tho we didn't get to see that

I also wonder why Sasha's character was killed off. Kate was killed off cos Sasha wanted out of the show due to it's physical demanding-ness. Thats not a word, but you all know what I'm talking about. Or so sources say.

Sasha has a kid now doesn't she? Sure does. And she's engaged to the son of Sophia Loren. Now how cool is that? I don't know wether he's the father of her daughter, or wether it was from a previous marriage. You'd probably find out on imbd.com. Either way, she seems happy, and that's what matters most, right?

Yeah, but I still wish she was still on NCIS though.
IMDb doesn't have the info about her daughter or her upcoming marriage, just stuff on her previous marriage.

I've seen the reactions on some of the NCIS forums. Yup, people get pretty fired up bout that kinda stuff. I'm not really one to judge tho. My friend and I did manage to b*tch about it for weeks on end afterwards. Then we came up scenarios of ways the writers can bring Kate back. Then we b*tched some more. Watched twilight, cried, and did it all over again.

I've tried to come up with scenarios of ways to bring Kate back too. I started watching NCIS about half way through season 2, so lately I've been trying to find info about all the episodes Kate was in from Seasons 1 and 2.

Lol! Yup. If you're looking to catch up a2z, the best way is 2 probly go get the seasons out on box set.
I've got season 1 and 2 box set.
And i can safely say, I've only seen 'Twilight' once. And it's going to stay that way.
As far as I'm concerned. It never happened, and Kate's on holidays. She just hasn't sent her postcard yet!

I'm hoping to get seasons 1 and 2 boxsets for Christmas. I've seen "Twilight" a couple of times, and after watching it the first time I have since tried to avoid watching the end. Hopefully, she sends her postcard soon!
