SHELF LIFE;The "Orientation" film is on Desmond's bookshelf behind a copy of "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James. In the book, which was made into a film called "The Innocents," a young boy names Miles is able to communicate with apparitions knows as "the others." Also in Desmond's collection was Flann O'Brien's "The Third Policeman." Written in 1940, it includes references to Atomic Theory, a secret underground chamber and a missing box.

Definitely another awesome episode last night!! It seems like the island lets you see what you want to see (and everyone around you!). That horse saved Kate the first time she encountered him and now she sees him again as she's having a mental breakdown over Sawyer's resemblance to Wayne. Very interesting!

How about the ending!!?? An IM from Walt!!! Me thinks all is not as it appears with this latest bit. I wonder how involved "The Others" are with this whole hatch thing. Oh, so many questions! ;D
