Season Three = truly inspired (other than a handful of 'stinkers' as Lucy called them... King Con, Tsunami)!!!
But Season Four brings us the resolution of the Rift(which I am finding I lurve), religious zeal (Crusader, Tale of Two Muses, even Gabby's spiritual quest in the visually stunning Paradise Found), and sick-humored and slightly clever comedies (In Sickness & In Hell, If the Shoe Fits, Takes One to Know One).
Season Four's highlight (for me) will be the shockingly haunting Ides of March, when upon first viewing, I was yelling, "I gotta wait all summer to see this wonderful show again?!" The Illustrated Companion notes that Ides is Xena's third death & Gabrielle's fifth. Can you name other other deaths? *sly grin*
Gee, I guess I am a drooling-Xena-fangirl.

Hi Tarik,
I just read a recent entry (May13) on Kym's blog (WHOOSH) that Kathryn was listed for the dvd S4 interviews but she was unavailable. What a bummer! But not surprising --- but was still hoping being they were in Californina doing those from Creation's end of it that they could arrange a time. We can always hope they can include her on the "Best Of" disc that will come out after all the other season's.

seems like i bring all the old topics back, hope that's okay...
i don't call myself a huge xena fan, but I enjoy watching it.... lucky for those who are able to get the dvds... they will not bring them out here (only season 1)

Surprisingly we have a fair number of Xena fans on this board. Many fans won't admit to liking Najara/KM because of the storyline but I've found just the opposite. seems like i bring all the old topics back, hope that's okay... i don't call myself a huge xena fan, but I enjoy watching it.... lucky for those who are able to get the dvds... they will not bring them out here (only season 1)

Many of the hard core Xena fans that are fans of the Xena/Gabrielle pairing don't like Najara because they interpreted the episode "Crusdader" that Najara loved Gabrielle and was trying to take her away from Xena. That's what I was referring. I didn't particualarly think Najara was crazy. But I'm in a very small minority. Like .000001. do you think they dont like her character (najara)? dunno.. i don't understand it.. lol i mean... yeah, najara is a bit crazy (ok, maybe not only a bit).... but somehow..

I watched Xena for a few seasons ... I do remember Najara (of course, now it's the only thing I can really cling to in "knowing" Kathryn from her "earlier" days ... ) I think I initially thought Najara was cool - didn't she pretty much kick Xena's rear, which was unusual given Xena was always doing the rear-kicking? (Or do I have that confused with the other blonde gal ... what was her name? Actress' first name was Hudson something? She also kicked Xena's rear - more than once.) But Najara was a little "off" (maybe not crazy, but a little left of center - LOL!) with her approach to ... what was it? Purifying/cleansing the land ...? Was an interesting character, which I think is why it stuck with me ... so when I recently put 2 and 2 together and figured out it WAS Kathryn, well ...

Hi LillyKat, In the KM Filmography forum we have a thread with pictures of Kathryn on Xena. ;D Yes, KM indeed was given the distinction of being the one to kick Xena's butt. A good distinction I'd say.

about the being crazy thing.. damn, my english is so bad.. i've no idea how to explain what i mean... *thinking* i try it again ok? lol
uhm...
i dont think its "only" because najara wanted to take gab. away from xena. it's not bc najara didn't like xena or so.. she thought that xena will bring gab. the death someday because xena does have these premonition which najara knew.. (najara wanted to "save" gab. life........bc she knew about the prem. it wasn't ONLY bc she didn't like xena or so... I'm still wondering if she really didn't like xena.. because she never says, that she hates her or sth like that)
now to the real "being crazy part" i think najara had *crazy* way to be good. yes she helped people and she gave the "bad people" a choice. go with me, with the light. or not. what also many fans don't like about najara is and was, that the other choice was "YOU DIE".
mhmmm.. i'm wondering if I was able to say it now better.. lol i'm sure i didn't

Wow, I've come to the part late lol. But I'm a xena fan... Never really got into the xena/gabrielle thing, but I just love the show because its feminism is totally unrivalled and Lucy Lawless kicks some serious butt. Plus it's hilarious, and so ironically funny. I loved Najara... Took me a bit to actually figure out it was KM though! There's a scene where she turns to Gabrielle and smiles, right at the start... And I was like Aha! Cold Case! I adored her character; a shade away from wicked simply because she was mislead, vaguely psychotic and (probably) bipolar. Loved how she matched up to Xena. And the way she commanded all those men. I really liked that character! I think she was one of those people that believe the end justifies the means; once everyone was initiated to 'the light', those she'd killed would fade into insignificance.

Thanks KM! I kind of post the way I talk; a bit fast and all-at-once. I forgot to mention in that post that I read an interview with kathryn about her working on Xena... My god, no idea where, I probs just googled it or something and she said it was great to work there and that lucy lawless was nice and all... And I'm so hoping that LL makes an appearance on CC (she was on Veronica Mars- doughnut run so she's getting closer! I think. Right country at least!). She could be a really good suspect methinks.

Hi jambled, Up in the KM forum in the stickied Kathryn Media Index thread, KM talked about her role on Xena in the 1/3/05- Life & Style appearance. You can download her appearance. I've always said it would be funny to have Lucy appear as a killer on Cold Case and have Lilly take her to the jail. It could be a little payback to what Xena did to Najara.

Hey Naj- thanks for that. I'll go see!
Meanwhile, It would be ironic for LL to be a killer on the show. Lol. Plus I think she'd make a great killer!

Hey LillyKat and jambled. It could be riveting depending on how they wrote it. Maybe she could be another George only a female version and Lilly and this Lucy's character have a standoff. We need a juicy story. The character is a female minister that kills off her congregation those that she believes are terrible sinnners and she is suppose to punish them because God told her to. (Sound familiar?)

Like you said, Lucy appearing on CC as killer with a fighting scene. But this time Lilly wins the fight and as she takes her to jail lucy mumbles " I will get you Najara , this isn't over yet". And Lilly turns to her and says " The jinn always is right". sorry if this is off topic

It would be some fun to see Lucy on the show and have a little injoke about the Xena-Najara fight. That's what fans love.
And that Xena was a show taking things not so serious was something I loved about the show.

A little OT, but wasn't LL a murderer on The X-Files? If I remember correctly she did a pretty good job playing a meanie.
