Hey Cold Case Fans!!
With the writers on strike for fair compensation for streaming episodes, downloads and DVD purchases of the episodes that they wrote, now is the time for the fans to make our voices heard. We need to send a clear message to the networks and studios letting them know that we support the writers. The wonderful folks at United Hollywood (a blog written by strike captains including CC's own Kate Purdy), have come up with an easy and quick way that we can support them and all of the writers fighting for fair compensation. From UH:
Spread the word! One buck sends a box of 12 pencils to a mogul. We're pooling everyone's money to buy the pencils from a "green" manufacturer who uses wood from sustainable forests.
If the moguls refuse to accept our truckloads of pencils, we'll donate them to schools and non-profits that deal with children's literacy.
Hopefully, we will indeed have truckloads to deliver. But only if we all spread the word.
The campaign is so important, CC Showrunner Veena Sud stopped by Look Again to encourage all of us to help. She wrote:
A lot of shows are reaching out to their fans at this time for their support. I know you've heard of the "Pencils" campaign United Hollywood is launching. I'd love it if you could be a part of that. It's an important way to tell the networks that you want a speedy and fair resolution to the strike, too -- your voice is critical.
Check out the link and give what you can. It WILL make a difference.

As fans of the wonderful Cold Case, it's important to band together and show our strength as a "fandom." Please help with the Pencils Campaign by sending whatever you can. As Veena stressed, every little bit helps. Let's show the networks and studios that we are firmly planted on the side with the CC writers. And let's show the good folks at CC that we're behind them all the way!
Click over to the Pencils2MediaMoguls form and buy your pencils! And don't forget to type in "Cold Case" as your show to support. Remember, the sooner a fair resolution is reached, the sooner we get to enjoy new episodes of CC.
