Hope you dont mind me opening this but I looked through the others could not find what I'm looking for. I'm not even sure what episode it is or what season, as just started watching. I'll put a little of the song, It's at the end of the episode, It sound's like Cindy lauper? but not sure. all through the night, this precious time, when time is new, all, all through the night to die, knowing that we feel the sadness, We have no past, we will respect he will lean forward all through the night, and once we start, the need to clicks. and it goes running all through the night, until it end's, there is no end If anyone can help as to what song this is and who sings it, will be very much appreciated, sorry I have no idea as to the episodes name.

OK. I think I'm going to go out of my mond. I have been searching and searching for the song that CC played in last week's episode ("Beautiful Little Fool") when Lilly made her drunk call outside the bar. I checked Tallie's site and the CBS site, but no luck. I even tried lyric sites. These are the only intelligable lyrics I can hear:
"I'm waiting for somebody that knows"
I thought I'd try here in the off chance that one of you may recognize the song. I can post the clip if you need me to. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

BTW, this is from a Season 1 episode titled "Greed"

wow, i hardly even noticed there was a song playing. it doesn't sound familiar to me at all. i was told by the cc song people that sometimes they use songs from a song library of unreleased music? at least that's what i thought she was saying to me. *if my memory is correct*
it kinda sounds like Hootie and the Blowfish style but I don't think it's them. But it might be worth a look.

Thanks irishkale! I'll see what I can find from that line. The Hootie and Blowfish thing is a good suggestion Naj. It does sound like that style of music. The song, from what I can hear, sounds like a good one and I'd like to download it on iTunes. Maybe I can ask InsideR if we come up empty. Thanks for searching for me.

Here ya go TVF: (right-click and "save target as...") www.kmrocks.com/audio/06thewait.mp3(972K) They put the song list up on CBS.com finally. It's called "The Wait" and unfortunately it IS stock music licensed by a company called "MasterSource." Where did I get the clip? Go to www.mastersource.com, then go to "search the catalog" on the left side of the screen, then enter "The Wait" (with quotes) in the keyword search field. Click on the song title after the search is done and you can listen to a clip and also see some information like who are the singers, composers, etc. of the song. CBS did us a HUGE favor by listing the licensing company (and it's also a huge help that they have a great search engine and online clips.) Remember that one scene from last season where Scotty and Christina were drinking in the bar? There was a bluesy song that had the lyrics "It's not that I wish you were dead... I just wish I never met you." It's on that MasterSource site under the title "Wish I never Met You."

Here's the song that was playing in the bar when Ellen and Lilly were arguing: www.kmrocks.com/audio/writing_on_the_wall.mp3(4.0 MB) It's a fantastic song! I got it from "5 alarm music", which is another stock music company that was in the CBS.com song list for the ep. I found the clip here: www.5alarmmusic.com/Go to the website, click on "search & download" Enter an email address then go to the top of the page, click "multiple fields", then enter "writing on the wall" in the search field.

OMG irishkale!!! You are a freakin' god!! I owe you BIG time. Thank you so much for finding this for me. I have been going out of my mind trying to find the song. I checked the CBS site everyday hoping that they would update the song lists. I hadn't checked it since yesterday morning, so I haven't seen this yet. I really appreciate this!

No problem guys Between mastersource, 5alarm, and "Opus 1" ( www.opus1musiclibrary.com/ ), I've been having fun listening to some of the "background" music that's used in the show. There was a funny one used in "Hubris." It's an upbeat 1940's era song that didn't sound like it belonged in the episode AT ALL. It ended up being used for about 3 seconds -- you hear it when Kite opens the door to the restaurant (and it's playing inside) after he invites Lilly to eat with him. Almost all of these songs were used as "background noise" or ambience when they don't need a recognizable song, but they do need to have some sort of music in the background. I wonder.... should I start a new thread and put the clips up, sorted by episode, etc? These would just be the stuff that MS, 5 alarm, and opus 1 have available for "preview listening" on their website.
