Who wouldn't love to make it to New Zealand or Australia at least once? Despite those who are already living there and want to leave. :smile31: But my home is sooo far away from thoses places. I'm from the cold, rainy, windy, flat north of Germany. Occasionally we even have a few hot summer days here at the moment - but not today.

shorty, I guess I've been a Xena and Hercules fan too long. I just thought a lot of the countryside was pretty in New Zealand. I guess it's winter there. What's the temps like there?

Just realized I hadn't posted on this thread yet. Like you already know from my profile I'm from the huge and crowded (nearly 10 million inhabitants) city of São Paulo, in the south of Brazil. Biggest city in the country, and the business center of Brazil and of South America.
Right now we're going through a very cold winter, the highs haven't gone over 15ºC in the last week. (Shorty, I know how you're feeling).

Okay, I'm from the North Eastern United States. The very boring state of Maine to be exact!
Oh yeah, and I'm 17 years old.

Hey Ryebeach, I lived in Vermont for a few years. Visited NH several times. Love that part of the US! I live in Georgia now 'cause of my job.

And I'm right below you guys in MA... lol. You think we can find enough people on here to make a chain all the way down the east coast? :smile21:

V - I have relatives in Vermont. So, I've been to NH and Maine as well, and I just LOVE that part of the country Ryebeach and Soccerulz. It's beautiful. I used to be an avid skier, so it was a winter paradise for me! Also, V, I too live in Georgia. I came down here for college and stayed after I graduated.
Trublu - I bet we could. Although, I haven't seen anybody from my neighboring states.

I used to live in Virginia, once upon a time. Does that count? Not as a neighboring state, I mean... but as part of the "chain".

Wow! I didn't realize so many of you guys are from the east coast. For some reason, I figured that lots of the people from the United States would be from the west coast. I don't know why though......
As some of you guys already know, I make all these assumptions and I'm ALWAYS wrong. So it shouldn't surprise me that I was wrong about this too! :smile66:

TV, I live in Augusta, so I'm only a couple of hours from you. :smile17: Is anybody here from Florida? I used to live in Tampa for almost 10 years. My parents and a lot of my friends still live there.

I lived in Arlington, right next to the Cemetery. But I remember going to Richmond a couple of times. It was a long, long time ago... ;D

V and TVFan, I think you guys are right about being the only state-twins.
If you two don't mind, I have a question for you. I'm looking at a school in Georgia, and I was just wondering how the weather is. I mean, how warm does it get down there?? I really like the school, but I'm not someone who can stand extremely hot weather (that's Maine blood for you! ).

It's definitely hotter down here than it was up north (that I can remember), but it's not so much the actual temperatures, it's the fact that we have more days in the 90s. It's also extremely humid. For instance, today it's supposed to be 95 degrees, but with the heat index, it's going to feel like 110. I went to school down here too, soccerulz. The only time it really bothered me was when we'd come back in August. It was tough trapsing to class in the 90 + degree weather. Football saturdays were also tough. The rest of the year is fine, though. It gets cold here in the winter, and it even snows every now and then. The worst months for the hot weather are July and August, so if you plan on returning home for the summer, then you'll miss most of the super bad heat. Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks so much TVFan. That doesn't sound too terrible. Since I do plan on returning home during the summers, I wouldn't have to deal with the super hot months.
Thanks again so much! I have fallen in love with one of the schools down there, and the weather is going to be a big deciding factor.
