I gotcha on this one. Took me a while.
Ron Howard directoed Cocoon which starred Steve Guttenberg.
Although he did not direct Cocoon 2: The Return, Steven Guttenberg returned for the sequel which also starred an upcoming actress named Courtney Cox.
Courtney Cox later went on to play Monica Gellar on Friends.
Monica dated someone named Fun Bobby. He was played by Vincent Ventresca.
Vincent went on to play Dr. Bennett Cahill in "Love Conquers Al.

Just in case you are confused, you need to look at the name I gave you. Faith Ford has mostly been on sitcoms. There have been three. Only three to my knowledge. Three is signicant to the connection, just in case you were wondering. Only three. Someone on one of the sitcoms Faith Ford has been on is connected to this Cold Case person. She has been on three decently known sitcoms. Only three. The person she is eventually connected to is known for only three of something. And it has to do with Cold Case. Clues are embedded in the paragraph so read carefully.
