This is another strong story R2K! I liked the way you tied to the two cases together (I didn't see it coming, either!). I like the compassion you gave to Lilly because that's how she really is with these cases. Nice work!  |

I'm glad you liked this one TVFan. I've been planning this one for months. And it went through many versions. It was originally meant to stand on its own with all new characters. It was to have more of a "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" kind of feel to it. But I simply couldn't leave the Tim character without a happy ending. The real inspiration to being him back came from the Without a Trace episode with the twins. They did the follow up episode and I thought, hmmm. Then I added Tim to the story. In the beginning, the 1982 case was the only one and Lily discovers Tim knew the boy early on in the episode. But I came up with the idea of revealing the secret later on. That was a challenge because I needed enough dialogue once the twist was revealed. And I wanted some emotion in it. This fan fic kept evolving and even now there are afterthoughts. All in all, it worked out well. But I'm not going to hang up Tim as a guest character yet. I plan to bring him back once in a great while, like Elisa. And he will be linked to one more cold case. But I'll give away this one spoiler. He will not be the killer.
